Quick question

Recommended Posts

I recall prior to midterms the R's and the "red wave" would get America "back on track" etc.... they would end this and stop Biden from that blah blah blah, so what's the problem? It looks like a circus show from both sides and whoever can sit or stand with a straight face and defend it is a šŸ¤”! Desantis would've been a slam dunk for the R's and he possibly would've got my vote... now they pick a guy who lost the popular vote twice lol (yeah I know that means nothing in grand scheme of things).. point being is the dude is highly unlikeable (I also know this doesn't matter) šŸ‘ˆšŸ¾ just getting ahead of the deflectors... personally I hope the clown gets in there so ppl can see how ultra right the clown is trying to push America for... IF he wins in November you can bet he will be on a rampage for 4 years getting lil if anything done, will most likely spend his term for the same thing some of yall complain about daily, going after his opponents... but hey the D's do it right? So yeah it's cool if we do it SMH

We're supposed to vote on policies etc while at the same time the person you vote for that made promises to change or fix this and that complains about his predecessor being the issue! It's all a joke

What have R's done that's good for America since midterms?Ā

What have D's done?

And please leave your feelings out of this and be truthful if possible!

Me personally I respect posters like @bullets13Ā @CardinalBackerĀ they vote for a guy and can call out others in the party or the direction a party can be headed.... others on here fall "lockstep" with whatever happens and defend by all means is the mantra it seems... no need to call out names, it's probably you if your mad at this statement šŸ¤£Ā

I voted for energy independence, secure border, selection of conservative SCJ, lowest unemployment in decades, I could go on but there's no emotion here, I vote for policies.

Look at what we have now, there's no comparison.

I just listed the reasons I voted for Trump, someone PLEASE list the reasons you would vote for Biden.

@Boyz N Da HoodĀ you said we should vote on policies, I just listed them for Trump, tell me which ones you don't like and wouldn't vote for him because of them.Ā Ā

Actually, policies arenā€™t on the ballot, candidates are.Ā
Ā

A vote for candidate ā€œAā€ is a vote for candidate. ā€œA,ā€ period.Ā
Ā

You can hope that elected official ā€œAā€ Ā will do what he promised (like repeal and replace Obamacare) but promises made are seldom promises kept.Ā
Ā

And Trump is a pig. And what happens when you run with pigs? You get muddy. Just ask ANYBODY who has represented Trump or been in his Cabinet. He turned on ALL of them when they didnā€™t bow to egomaniacal and often criminal demands.Ā
Ā

And as far as Trumpā€™s plansā€¦ he canā€™t get anything done because heā€™s a horrible politician (and human). Why didnā€™t Trump get the wall built? He couldnā€™t. Why didnā€™t Trump repeal and replace Obamacare? He couldnā€™t. Why did deficit spending explode under Trump? He cut taxes, but went on a spending spree. If you want to argue ā€œbut the economy was rolling,ā€ Iā€™d offer ā€œnot for long.ā€ Trump believes in spending his way into prosperity, and it obviously doesnā€™t work. Ā You can either cut taxes and spending (true conservative) or you can increase taxes and spending (textbook liberal). Trump CUT taxes and RAISED spendingā€¦ sure, it heated up the economy in the short term, but now weā€™re headed towards, correctionā€¦. Weā€™re going to be insolvent in just a few short years.Ā
Ā

If Trump couldnā€™t secure the border in four years (two of which he enjoyed control of both houses of Congress), howā€™s he gonna do it with no help from congressā€¦. Cause the Ds are gonna roll in November, largely due to Trump and his biggest supporters like MTG.Ā

ppl can see how ultra right

If you are basing it on the environment that we now live in due to extreme liberal policies that have molded everyone s thinking then yeah it seems ultra right but when the goal post have been moved so far left that the middle is now actually old democrat then anything right seems ultra.

have you been one who Has been molded over all these years of liberal environment? Have you been desensitized to such ways that now you just accept it?

early in my younger voting years I leaned libertarian but usually voted R for major elections. Ā But as time went on and I became wiser I saw how society was changing and the forces that be were using Ds, Ms, I s, as well as Rs.

i didnt vote trump in 2016 primaries.

I ll vote for trump cause who else is there and come 2028 I ll vote for someone else who is not a D. Trump will be a thing of the past for some people but will still live in the heads of many Ds and probably some Rs.

Yeah, but to the ignorant people, it gots to be Trump or nobody.Ā
Ā

But letā€™s be honestā€¦ ā€œborder securityā€ and ā€œMake America Great Againā€ are just thinly disguised pleas for the racist voteā€¦ which apparently he has locked up.Ā

Bottom line, you'll have two choices in November, the best choice for the country is VERY clear.

I thought we said leave feelings out of this, all I see is feelings in the posts from the Trump haters, lol.

You guys keep ranting until November if it makes you feel better, but it won't.

    • Heading into the summer and before two a days get goingā€¦ what are some concerns or positives about your team heading into next season? Iā€™d like to hear from some H-F people because according to some they are the district favorites heading into the season. Iā€™m just trying to pass some time at least until we get our DCTF magazines lol For Bellville my concern is filling some holes on defenseā€¦ specifically at LB,S, and DTā€¦ bright spots ? Basically the entire offensive line returns that paved the way for 3 RBs to rush for more than 1600 yards a Ā on the season (2 of those RBs will return as well). With all that said Bellville should still be a region favorite this upcoming season.
    • Thatā€™s not a choice, itā€™s the same thing and equally dangerous.Ā  Ā  Iā€™ve literally heard (with my own listening ears) the R County Chairman boast in a speech that ā€œthe only time Iā€™ve ever voted for a Democrat was when I voted for Hillary in the Democrat primary! HAHAHAHAHA!!!!ā€ Youā€™ll never guess who is tweeting all over the place about how we need closed primaries this week.Ā  Every action has an equal and opposite reaction. Ā Escalation of force. Ā These are concepts that you completely understand and teach. Ā Whatever we do today, weā€™ll pay for tomorrow. Impeach a President over something stupid? Theyā€™ll impeach yours twice. Ā Promise to lock up your political rival if you get elected? You canā€™t cry over somebody else doing it to youā€¦ even if you were just blowing a little smoke for the morons. Ā  The old days of ā€œdonā€™t throw rocks if you live in glass housesā€ has now become ā€œIā€™m pretty sure Iā€™ve got more rocks than they do.ā€ The frightening thing is that Ds only do it to Rs. Rs do it to Ds and other Rs alike without hesitation. Ā
    • Definitely does NOT sound like a fit for PN-G.
    • No offense, but both sides do it. Ā The Rs in Texas want to do away with decades of precedent and demand that Dems are no longer given chair positions on any committees in the Tx House. It sounds reasonable enough, until you arrive at a point when the Ds enjoy a single seat majority in the house, select the most leftist speaker of all times, and the refuse to give Rs any say in the legislative process by refusing to give them any committee chairs. Ā  Ā  Experience has shown me that any time a party seeks to consolidate power in a legislative body, it backfires.Ā  Ā  What I donā€™t like is a world where we cheer for Manchin for doing his own thing, but also re-elect guys like Paxton and Patrick when they make threats to R Legislators if they donā€™t do exactly what the Radical Right demands. Our Rep here in Hardin County lost his spot for voting against private school vouchers-his wife is a teacher. He also voted his conscience on the Paxton impeachment. Ā It cost him his seatā€¦. Not because of the will of the voters in his district, but because if millions of outside dollars pumped into the race from outside the district and even an endorsement of his unknown challenger by Donald Trump himself.Ā  Ā  Why do people like you applaud Manchin for being his own man and then vote against Phelan for doing the same thing?
