round one -

HJ -79  vs 6A Vista Ridge (Austin) 37

Ashlon Jackson-19, Jada Pleasant-14, Molly Beavers-9, 5 others with 6-8

round two-

HJ- 61 vs 6A Clemens (San Antonio area) 49

Molly Beavers- 18, Ashlon Jackson-14, Kendall Sneed-11, India McMahon-9, Jalyn Wright-7

Round 3 tomorrow vs 6A Houston Memorial (5-0)  winner to face the winner of Langham Creek/ Duncanville

This tournament is LOADED!!  Some of the teams in it are:

Duncanville - 6A #2,  SA Reagan - 6A #7,  Cibolo Steele - 6A #13,  Langham Creek - 6A #14,  SA Clark - 6A #15,  McKinney - 6A #21,  Cedar Park (defending 5A State Champs) - 5A #1,  Pflugerville - 5A #9,  New Braunfels - 5A #24.

All the other teams in it are all playoff teams who went 2-3 rounds deep.  HJ is the only 4A in the tournament.

This is its not about a record, or stats..... Its about competition... finding holes in the team and working to fix them...

Not bad at all for "Lil ol HJ."  Went into this tourny as the only 4A and finished 4-1 with the only loss being to a top 15 NATIONALLY ranked team.  That game was a tale of 2 halves, didnt really shoot the ball well the first half but then they came out in the 2nd half and played Duncanville pretty even.  40-36 in the 2nd half.  Great showing for them Lady Hawks

Yes, it is all about the competition!!  Strength of schedule helps in the playoff run.....GO LADY HAWKS!!

      2001 to get over the quarterfinal hump to make the semis… Nederland played them again in a home and home series 05/06 I believe it was, the game at Friendswood all night long they kept saying the Nederland Bullfrogs even had it on the scoreboard and program… lol nederland split that series where the home team won, even though Nederland should have won the game at Friendswood questionable ref calls, FWood hit a game winner FG as time expired… baseball team beat them a few times over the years that I can remember.. volleyball and softball has beat them a few times as well..

      Port Arthur has been taxing GSU/Entergy for decades through in lieu of tax agreements. Bridge City was making some noise about trying to undo Port Arthur’s lawful ETJ so Port Arthur simply ended the discussion by annexing what they already had control over. I have responded to calls at Entergy so they are receiving at least police services.
