Opponent for Jasper - Week 3?

Coach Barbay is supposedly looking for someone to play after his week's game with WO-S was called off. Are there any updates on that?

I had heard last week that there was a front runner being Huffman, whose game this week with Bridge City was also cancelled.  But I have heard nothing from either Coach Barbay or Coach McEachern on that.

Hopefully, something will pop sometime today.

I was told Huffman turned down Jasper.

Maybe it will. But with more controversy around the rivalry. UIL playoffs are probably the only option. 3rd or 4th round sounds good.

But WOS and Carthage have different plans in mind.

Huffman has a good program, but they seem to play a pretty soft non-district schedule.   Fairly sure they wanted no part of Jasper.  Just a WAG.

Just saw on KJAS that Jasper won't have a game this week. I know that they have added @ LC-M into their bye week slot (per Coach Barbay last week), so as of now they'll have a 9-game schedule.
