Coach Neece has turned in his resignation and has accepted a position in Newton as QB coach next year.

Why would he resign AD/HC to be a QB coach in Newton?

It's not gonna be a 40K pay cut.. Coach Barbay isn't leaving Newton for Kirbyville let's not get crazy folks. He has a chance to win a state title at Newton as the OC not get beat over and over in Kirbyville

Oh ok your going to pay him AD money just for coming over. Only time will tell if Bryan will leave Newton to become a AD/HC for Kirbyville. If Neece is the OC then what is Barbay assistant OC. Come on man let's get real if the right opportunity comes along Barbay will leave for a AD/HC job. Let's not kid ourself on the state thing. Last I checked Kirbyville don't get beat over and over. The talent is there, they just need a motivator and leader to get the most out of them. Write it down Bryan Barbay will be the next AD/ HC at Kirbyville. I mean you just replaced him with Neece as the OC.

Yes  he I'll leave for a HC job but why on earth would he want to go to Kirbyville? That's not a top job and Barbay can land a better gig than Kirbyville fella

He was here before as defensive coordinator.   He has lots of friends and connections over here. What's wrong with Kirbyville? Nobody said it was a top job but other than maybe WOS there is not many top jobs around here. Don't think for one minute Neece will be some sort of miracle hire that will get Newton over the hump to another state title. One towns trash is another towns treasure. It's not that he wants to win a state title there's more to it than that. He just received a two year extension over here and still leaves something don't add up. Best wishes to him hope he lands a gig he will prosper at. If he don't want to be here we don't want him here. It's not like he landed a AD/HC job he took a demotion and the way I see it he quit on the boys here and the community.

Very it just don't add up. You just don't leave a AD /HC job to go be a QB coach at a smaller school. I could see if it were a 5a or 6a.

I just wonder if this provides the opportunity for another area coach to "Fedora" his current employer?

This would be tough for me to see happening due to that particular coach's connection with that community. Truth is, if I were him I would probably look at doing it since things are still probably less than stable at his current location.

You honestly think he is going there to be the QB coach at a 3A Division 2 school. Most places that small don't even have a QB coach. He had to say QB coach in order to keep the ruckus down over there. Makes since going from a AD/HC to a QB coach at a smaller school and less money. Come on look between the smoke and mirrors.

Let's hear some insight. I also heard he got the job over in Newton right after Christmas and waited this long to announce. Wish he would have done it sooner now they have to expedite a decision on a AD/HC hopefully within the next month.

Just know that my parents and family are from Kirbyville and that I was text about a staff member wanting to come to coach in BISD, preferably at Central or Ozen.  It's BS if he knew he was leaving way after the holidays and just told his staff last week.  I didn't want to ask him at the time why he wanted to leave a place he played at but now it all makes since...
