BADSANTA Posted November 1, 2015 Report Posted November 1, 2015 This trio along with Reed, Holmes, and Elam are some of the best to come thru SHS. Keep grinding kids. Lots of football left to play Quote

BADSANTA Posted November 1, 2015 Report Posted November 1, 2015 It is a big statement to see these kind of numbers. Last year was a really down year for Silsbee. People tend to forget Silsbee is missing their leading rusher from last year Tavaris Brooks who tore his ACL in the preseason. Adonis Thomas has stepped in and done a fantastic job. Kalon Barnes and Kyle Mackey both could end up close to or over 1,000 yards receiving and double digit tds. Tre Lowe and Bruce Newton have also played well at WR thus season. I don't remember a Silsbee team ever being it's dead at WR. Maybe the 2012 team with Holmes, Elam, Garcia, Jackson. This year's maybe a notch above that. Pepper Brooks 1 Quote

BADSANTA Posted November 8, 2015 Report Posted November 8, 2015 Incredible!!! Would love to see these kids play another 4 or 5 football games for sure. Quote
BADSANTA Posted November 8, 2015 Report Posted November 8, 2015 (edited) The sports writers of Texas need to ensure Dontre Thomas is voted as am Allstars QB. He is putting up some great numbers all around. 51 tds is nice! Also Mackey should be on that team. Maybe the best hands in SETX. Edited November 8, 2015 by BADSANTA SmashMouth 1 Quote
AggiesAreWe Posted November 8, 2015 Author Report Posted November 8, 2015 If Adonis can break the 1000 yard barrier (just needs 81 yards), it will be the first time since 2009 (Jeremy Johnson and Chris Barnes) that Silsbee will have two 1000 yard rushers in same season. Also, the numbers Dontre is putting up is on pace to set the all time single season total offense and TD in Silsbee High history.
