Bridge City at Jasper 10/9 Predictions

The 4-1 (1-0 District) Cards head north to play the 3-3 (2-0 District) Jasper Bulldogs Friday Night. Bridge City is coming off of their bye week and Jasper was picked by many to win the District this year after a strong playoff showing last year. Injuries for the Bulldogs have been a huge factor so far this year.

It wouldn't hurt my feelings to see Bridge City pull this one out. But I feel like Jasper will win it by 10.

BC's coach Dubois handled Jasper last year while at HJ.  Jasper has shown a weakness at stopping the run this year.  I think this will be a shoot out.  Probably come down to turnovers or intangibles.

No - still had the center out he makes off line go . Every body back against Cleveland but way to many penalties had 2 or 3 touchdowns called back got to stop that this week

BC's offense will wear down Jasper. They fly to the ball on defense.

if Jasper mixes pass and run they will be ok. Bridge City will pound the ball in between tackles and will wear you down. My pick is Jasper but each team scores 28+ points. Jasper 35-28

This is a hard game to pick. Jasper's play on the year so far as a whole can be described as bipolar, with injuries having something to do with that, but not all of it if we're making an honest assessment of our team. BC's win over Newton doesn't look as good as it did earlier in the year. Jasper's margin of victory over Cleveland was better than BC's. (Although, I know...the transitive property is not really applicable in sports.) In the wins and losses, Jasper's discipline (too many penalties and missed assignments) have been lacking. So, I think it comes down to which Jasper team shows up on Friday. If the good Jasper team with discipline shows up, Jasper wins by two td's. If the good Jasper team shows up with the lack of discipline they've shown in the prior games, it'll be a close win for Jasper or BC. If the bad Jasper team shows up, it'll be BC by a lot.
