Silsbee 38 Little Cypress-Mauriceville 21/Final

I listened and to me it sounded like LCM should have been closer if not ahead receivers wide open and either dropped passes or were overthrown and crucial 15 yd. personnel foul penalties hurt when they were in a position to score. Dont understand why Winters didn't get the call more but hey I wasn't coaching and I'am sure they have their reasons. Good job Silsbee on the win and best of luck to both teams. LCM has to learn how to finish and learn how to win. JMO

We have called a onside kick in almost every game this year. We ran the reverse against the Hawks and it did not work. The 4 and 10 draw play was pretty bad call also. I will say Silsbee did a great job by taking our full back out of the game. That middle was pretty plugged up all night. Our full back has been really our bread and butter. #5 Winters was playing both ways so #27 Webb came in the game on offense some to give him a break. I just think our offense is still to predictable we need to mix it up  are something. Our Defense I thought did good with those deep passes. I think we should had at least one of those interceptions.

you know I read this but just realized what you said....if there has been a called onside kick in almost every game(excluding ones late in a game) then this call if it was one was even more suspect.  Teams should be expecting it.....

they should expect the onside from us. If it's 4 and short we are going for it lol I think if we got out of the slot we could be little better.

I won't disagree with your statement but I think they did a good job until we scored that last TD.  They were running the ball almost at will.  Now the problem with so little passing is once the needed to late in the game ,  they haven't established any confidence in a passing game.  I dont know about that reverse on 4th and 10 either,  it was one of those if it works your a hero but if it doesn't it was a horrible call. I would like to be able to say we have enough speed on the edges that it was a bad call but we had given up yards outside a good bit of the night.  I have to wonder why we didn't see number 5 get the ball more after that first quarter.  He seemed like another strong runner that was giving us fits.   The only other questionable thing to me was that kick at the end of the first half,  if it was a called on sides,  it was another hero or goat call.  I just wouldn't take the chance against our offense of giving a short field with little time left in the half.  C

congratrulations to my Tigers on a hard fought win.   Overcoming a tough night to pull out a hard fought win.  I know we had Mackey hurting and still making a big play.  I also saw where another key player may have been sick  in the middle of the week not sure if he was over it or not but he played hard tonight.  Keep playing hard guys!!

You are right on talking about those two plays called and Chris17 is right on about the on side kicks almost predictable. I would have mentioned this in the earlier post but I thought I would give some positive comments at the time. Sometimes you would think that the calls these coaches make is as if they've just started making calls. Onside kick with 2:31 left in the half against a offense like Silsbee and a defense like LCM, NOT good. That end around play; how are you going to sell that play when you're not doing such a good job faking the ball out of slot-T when that is a key to that offense. OK I'm done for now, but somebody has got to give these coaches a "C-mon Man". I got to give Coach Crouch credit for complimenting players for playing their tales off and they are. Good job Bears.

BearBB2001 I'm happy you get on here and support LCM. We need or should have more fans on here because we had a good crowd Friday night and I saw a lot of WOS fans there at the game. I want to thank them for coming out and supporting the Bears, I will be watching WOS in the playoffs. Hopefully the Bears will get in the playoffs. Ive been trying to stay positive, but Its hard when I know we could be a lot better.
