Repub Debates

the problem is it seems as though every 4 years we have to choose who will screw up the country less.  I think until Republicans come towards the middle on certain issues like abortion and gay marriage, they are in an uphill battle.

Coug, I'm afraid you're right (I know you're right on the first part lol).  The point you made about "the Rep. coming more to the middle is what perplexes me, and I'm sure many others.  Again, I think you're right, I just don't understand why.  The head of the DNC couldn't tell Matthews the difference between democrats and socialism, so that's an indication of how far left of "center" they are.  But the perception most have is the Rep. are too far right.  Believe me, the Rep. of today would mirrow the left wing Democrats in my younger days.

Thats what makes some of us scratch our heads with one hand and our butts with the other, then switch hands.  Now, in our heads, 2+2 doesn't equal 4.  If you're not one of us dumbfounded folks, at least you can understand why this stuff has me ready for the Funny Farm lol.

Donald Trump is a flip-flopping opportunist who sees this election as nothing more than an opportunity to put his name in the headlines. In the process, he's become the official mascot for the senility problem that currently exists in the modern body politic and made a mockery of the Republican Party - my party. Fox News was completely fair to him last night - when you've got a history like Trump's, those are the kinds of questions you deserve. He wasn't targeted unfairly, he made himself a target.

Welcome to politics, Mr. Trump. Enjoy your brief stay.

When he doesn't make the cut and runs as an independent the welcome, most likely, Hillary! If he loves our country as much as he says he does, then he won't.

I was asking your insight since it seems as though you seem to know about this topic.  I asked 2 questions, trying to do some research, but I got "Trumped"

So how many "rogue" members that are killing live babies and selling their body parts would it take for you to want to cut taxpayer funding?

As far as a video being edited, I don't know about that but it is undeniable that they are doing what has been claimed.

My main point was there are some people that seem to see no difference in the parties, this is just one example of many.

Republicans would like to cut funding, Democrats don't...have to assume they approve of this.

Alot of people see the difference in parties. Is it not possible for one to be pro life agree with Republicans on national security and military but also agree on alot things dem's have to say. I get told by dems your not one of us and same from Republicans. Only they  don't understand the compliment they just gave me. I refuse to group think.

alotta pubs and dems dont have no backbone or onions so they run to a political party for backing. I say do away with political parties and lets see who can stand on their own instead of the wishy-washy b.s.

Has nothing to do with backbone or onions...lol.

There is strength in numbers and allows your voice to be heard much better than one single voice...just like unions, aarp, etc.

If we go your way, guys like Trump walk in and buy the Presidency.

"This is now the highest non-sports cable program of all time, the highest-rated cable news program of all time, and Fox News’s most-watched program ever."

This is the hidden content, please

From what I saw, Trump was not the one making it comical. When someone is winning and you can't beat him with your stances on issues, the best thing to do is make him the butt of your jokes. Joe Biden is a master of this technique.

Is there really a clear cut "party"? Democrat, Republican, liberal, conservative, left, right, up down, Democrats becoming Republicans and vice versa.....what is there to cling to?

Trump rubs people the wrong way and has gained tremendous popularity because of it. We need someone who gets down to brass tacks and cannot be swayed by money.

Will he make a good president....only time will tell. He can't do much worse and he certainly has a grip on finances. Watch out, he just might win it. I could deal with it.
