Woodville89
It is first and goal from the 1yd line or 4th and 1 and your Team gets in the Shotgun . I can understand hanging your hat on something but come on do we really want to make it 4th and 6 ? You can run both under center and Shotgun ! NDOMAKONG
How many times have you seen a mishandled snap from a team that run predominantly out of gun, I think that says a lot into it

JohnSmith
What's just as bad is when your on defense and your 4th and goal on the 1 yrd line. And your coaches use the same 3 man front and don't load the box. They actually expect them to stop them from scoring with 7 blockers on the line. Lightning/Eagle
The spread and uptempo passing offense have changed the landscape.
BMTSoulja1
I agree. I think you need to bring the power package in. People don't realize you can still pass effectively out of that formation. EaglesFootball

fwoodfan
Friendswood's offense goes straight shotgun 99.9% of the time. The .1% is 3rd or 4th down and goal/ first down to go. In that situation we do get under center and go every once in a while. The down side is that if you are a shotgun team and you get under center in that situation the other team pretty much knows what you are going to do. CardinalBacker
You were at a Bridge City game? That's our bread and butter.... Need a yard? Snap it eight yards deep so that your lone back can meet two linebackers four yards behind the line of scrimmage. We call that one "The Stump." texas13
kicker
WOS is known for use of their Power I offensive set in short yardage/goalline situations. Always has normally been 2 of our biggest D Linemen/linebackers with our normal RB or sometimes another Linebacker. LOL. AKA. "heavy lunch crew" at WOS. Woodville89
No one knows his personnel or wants to score worse than the guy calling the play. Let him do his job.Yes ,I noticed Warren ran as far as could from their shotgun College Coach and found success and you love it. All pro football teams run both it can be done ! A lot of coaches today have not coached traditional football . Just because they don't know something don't make it right .
