Brubaker Posted October 25, 2014 Report Posted October 25, 2014 Unless Vidor upsets PNG, the final spot will come down to the GCM and Ozen game week 10. GCM will need to win by 5 to get in. An Ozen win or a loss by 4 or less and the Panthers would go. This also assumes Ozen takes care of Baytown Lee, which looks likely. Mr. Buddy Garrity 1 Quote
Peppermint Patty Posted October 25, 2014 Report Posted October 25, 2014 Is that even if GCM somehow loses to Ned? Quote
tvc184 Posted October 25, 2014 Report Posted October 25, 2014 Is that even if GCM somehow loses to Ned? Only if GCM loses to Nederland. If either team wins out, they go in the 4th spot. Right now both GCM and Ozen are at 2-3. If GCM wins out, they are 4-3 and Ozen by virtue of its loss to GCM in the last game (or vice versa), could be no better than 3-4 and would stay home. Quote
tvc184 Posted October 25, 2014 Report Posted October 25, 2014 That is assuming Vidor doesn't win out and has to beat PNG to do so which Brubaker brought up. Quote

BMTSoulja1 Posted October 25, 2014 Report Posted October 25, 2014 Yep. And Central and GCM goes d-1 Quote

NDNation Posted October 25, 2014 Report Posted October 25, 2014 if BH gets in Crosby goes D1 with king, according to the 21 5A thread. I wouldn't mind seeing a Crosby/Central game. Have they ever played? Quote

mytwocents-28 Posted October 25, 2014 Report Posted October 25, 2014 That is assuming Vidor doesn't win out and has to beat PNG to do so which Brubaker brought up. In order for Vidor to make it they would have to win out AND GCM has to beat ozen because if ozen and Vidor win out ozen holds the tie breaker due to there win over Vidor. Quote

AshlyHasBeen Posted October 25, 2014 Report Posted October 25, 2014 In the past 3-way ties use the point differential between the 3 teams involved first. If there is a tie after that then head to head is considered. All 3 are 2-3 currently. Here's the differentials. Keep in mind Vidor has already played both Ozen and GCM. Ozen (+8) GCM (-1) Vidor (-7) Quote

Daytonfan9210 Posted October 25, 2014 Report Posted October 25, 2014 king would get gcm Unless crosby wins out. I see 21-5A going 3-1 the one being bh or kp. Probably bh. BOYS IN BLUE (C.E. KING) 1 Quote

NDOMAKONG Posted October 25, 2014 Report Posted October 25, 2014 Not that it would be possible in this scenario, as all would be 1-1 if there was a 3 way tie Quote

SFA85 Posted October 25, 2014 Report Posted October 25, 2014 Ozen gets a Baytown sweep and they're in. It's that simple for the Panthers.... Quote

GoDogs27 Posted October 25, 2014 Report Posted October 25, 2014 Not that it would be possible in this scenario, as all would be 1-1 if there was a 3 way tie No because I remember this happening several years ago. I don't remember which teams were involved, but I remember one team was 2-0 against the other two teams and actually missed out because of point differential. Seems unfair but that team lost to teams that the other two beat so it's the nature of the beast.. Quote

Actually I remember it the other way around where in a 3 way tie, the 2-0 team went and they didnt have the best differential, I'm certain head to head is the first method of breaking ties. Quote

In a tiebreaker situation, the only wins/losses or pts that count are among the teams tied, doesn't matter what they do against other teams not involved in the tiebreaker Quote
