Looks like 21-5A is shaping up to be one of the most dominate districts in the state.

That district with the FBISD schools that dropped sans Williowridge ain't too shabby either.  All will be settled come playoff time....

Without question the following are better: 5A District 5, 8, 9, 10, 14, 16, 17. There are at least 5 more that are on par with 21. This is not serious conversation.

I have noticed Crosbys defense=better than past yrs thus far.Now to all the D1's on the Offense.Now ya'll said T Cotten the most natural passing (break records)qb talent & the protection he has can build a campfire around him.Dist 21-5a leaders thru 2 games=T Cotten #6 qb in passing stats=10/19=156=1 td 1 int. behind King,Dayt,KWP,NC,BH qbs.******Rush=Williams(King) 30=391=13.03 per=5 tds,Henderson (KWP)51=273=5.35=3 tds,D Allen(Crosby/GCM xfer)21=269=12.81 =2 tds(Riordan had 0 yrs w/this kid  in system),J Rogers(BH)20=259=12.95=6 tds,K McBride(Dayt)22=236=10.73=5 tds.My calender is zeroed in Oct 17.Steak Night(21-5a tot team offense #1 King #2 KWP #3 Dayt #4 BH #5 Crosby=782 yds or 87 total yds better than #6 NC Porter ***That D1 talent that replaced Walters,Singleton better get in gear,it's dist time :D :D

You might need to go look at that again. There are some better but of the ones you listed there's only two for sure. Districts 23-25 are also better but there have been some questionable losses to start the season for them. I think the district is a little better than middle of the road, especially considering what's out in region 1 other than Aledo(who just got smashed) and what's down in the valley.

Lol, that's pretty good. Other than D'onta Allen's rushing numbers, Crosby only has one game worth of stats entered. Cotton actually has 274 passing yards and couple of tds. Allen's numbers are going to look pretty similar to Austin's junior numbers if he gets the carries. Our freshman back also has over 120 rushing yards on 14 carries.

What you fail to mention LilTex is that Crosby's defense has given up 483 total yards to Dayton's 1136. We went from having the best offense in the district last year to the best defense in the district this year. Offensive numbers will look a lot better once we play some of the defenses in our district like Dayton's. You can zero your calendar for October 17th, we'll just show up with 0 losses.

When 21-5a can get 2 teams to the 3rd round then we could be possible honorable mention.Couldn't do it w/SC,Crosby,Dayt,BH,KWP in recent yrs.SC went undefeated 2012-2013 in dist=they're in 6a & picking up Galena Park(talents taken by NS)dist overall in my opinion is weaker,we'll see if we can do better in 2014.Region 111 is tougher than ever,my opinion state contender/champ comes out of region 3 2014

It seems tough to alot of people because most fans on here just see the local teams. I think 21-5a and 22-5a are very similar because most of the teams are about the same. Between the two districts, we don't produce enough consistent winners in the playoffs to be considered being mentioned toughest districts in the state. You ever see many teams from 21-5a or 22-5a playing tough non district teams in 5a? Not very often. They usually play each other ala Ned this year playing Crosby and Dayton. Prove that you belong in the top of the discussion by going deep in playoffs and scheduling teams from 15,16,23, and 25-5a. 21-5a and 22-5a probably is about #5 and #6 in the 8 districts in region 3 this year.

    • What the writer stated wrt crossover votes in the primary/runoff: "Covey and his supporters Paxton and Lt. Gov. Paxton said Covey’s campaign identified “at least” 1,442 Democrats who voted early in Jefferson County in the primary runoff.
