Guest Posted September 2, 2014 Report Posted September 2, 2014 I like Barbay and company this week Quote
59n Sports Posted September 2, 2014 Report Posted September 2, 2014 I am a follower of Coldspring. If the o line blocks like they did against Huntsville it's going to be a long night for the Trojans. Secondary needs some more work also. Should be a tight game but I would put mine on Silsbee 27-21 Quote
BADSANTA Posted September 2, 2014 Author Report Posted September 2, 2014 If Silsbee wants to be a passing team, they need to have more of a threat of running as well. If we can complete more passes and establish a strong run game, we will be fine. I still would like to see Thomas in at Qb to open up the run game a little more. Quote
STiger85 Posted September 2, 2014 Report Posted September 2, 2014 The problem last Friday was not the offense moving the ball or scoring points. We could not get our defense off the field, could not tackle, and turnovers. First game of the season jitters for our very young team all the way round. The Soph QB completed 60% of his passes and was only sacked once. Because we where behind we threw more in the second half and that resulted in not getting the ball into Spearman's hands. First game of the season, coach getting things figured out. Plus, to many players going both ways right now. Quote
cat001 Posted September 2, 2014 Report Posted September 2, 2014 I got Coldspring by 6 should be a good game. Gonna be a lot of speed all over the field ought to be a fun one to watch. Quote
TROJANSWIN Posted September 2, 2014 Report Posted September 2, 2014 Last time I saw Coldspring take a beating like they got Friday was when Navasota whipped them in week 1 a few years back. Huntsville was without a doubt the more prepared, more physical, better team. The only thing that kept this game as close as it was were huntsville's receivers dropping every pass. After Navasota put a beating on us, we had LaMarque in LaMarque and played the best game I have seen them play in 4 years of playoff runs. We will find out what this team is made of on Friday. I think Barbay will have them back to form and ready for Silsbee. I am not predicting a score, butTrojans win this week and play lime a team, more physical, and with much more discipline! Quote
TROJANSWIN Posted September 4, 2014 Report Posted September 4, 2014 Pretty quiet on this game. Looks like neither set of fans is very excited about their teams start to the season. Quote

AggiesAreWe Posted September 4, 2014 Report Posted September 4, 2014 Pretty quiet on this game. Looks like neither set of fans is very excited about their teams start to the season. I have my reservations about this game. Not sure how Silsbee's defense will fair against the Coldspring running game. If it's anything like last week, will be a long night for the Tigers. I see Silsbee needing to score 30+ in order to come out with a win. Quote
TROJANSWIN Posted September 5, 2014 Report Posted September 5, 2014 Both of these schools tend to have a good program and should bounce back from the disappointments that happened last Friday. They both need to step up in this game and show something. If not it could be a long season for the team that doesn't. Quote
bedelmon Posted September 5, 2014 Report Posted September 5, 2014 Silsbee gonna take anther beat down.... 34-10 Cold Spring... Quote

Wildcat_Pride_1980 Posted September 5, 2014 Report Posted September 5, 2014 The last time these two teams met it was all Silsbee 66-6 back in 2004 i do believe. Coldspring come into this game looking to return the favor! Quote
BADSANTA Posted September 5, 2014 Author Report Posted September 5, 2014 Silsbee needs defense! Got manhandled last week Quote
