So your coach actually has to take the time to submit the form for you, not sure where it says anything about nominated by scouts. Reason I ask is I see some names on the jr level that  are some head scratchers.

Pretty sure that's how it works. Coach submits your name and then a committee selects the team. Price played in that game in2011, but it was at Rice then. Almost certain area scouts have no input on the team.

The Texas Scouts Association does put on an "Invitation Only" event. In 2010-11 it was in Arlington and was 50 players. Randy Taylor of the Rangers organization was in charge at the time. They held a dinner at The Ballpark at Arlington and pro scouts talked about the MLB signing process and other issues related to being drafted out of high school. The next day they had a combine and scrimmaged. There were only 2 balls hit out during BP( I am proud to say that I have both of them in our collection.) In hindsight, I would recommend that if you have a real opportunity to be drafted, depending on the round of course, take the money. You can go to college later.
