I see where Jasper's Ty Anthony Smith has left Texas for personal reasons.

Anyone know anything here? Pretty late so must be a pretty big issue. Or not.

Smith was pegged to be a starter, but I read where the transfer at his position was outplaying him. To Smith defense he was coming back from an injury. 🤷🏾‍♂️

Said he missed their scrimmage due to illness and now off the team for personal reasons.

Missed the scrimmage last week for the Flu… then dismissed for detrimental to the team, LB position is now weakest position on the team

From the Head Coach:

Texas football coach Steve Sarkisian said LB Ty'Anthony Smith was dismissed for conduct detrimental to the team. Said, "I didn't like it. It's an unfortunate situation."

 

Very curious as to what happened.

Social media had more to say. But no real reason to believe any of that's true. Hope to see him get the chance to prove himself elsewhere. I know some guys that didnt pan out and fail off the map completely. Jasper doesnt need a LB coach this season... TBD next year?

I guess I don't follow the right folks for that talk.

I did see where a father is upset with Sark over his son that's a freshman corner. Was claiming he was about to blow the top off of the political mess. For whatever that's worth.

Most likely nothing.

Transfer nonsense claims another victim. Otherwise would have been allowed to recover from off season surgery. Its cut throat out there in the real world. Life lesson plays out in full view for others to learn. I always heard he was a great kid. Too much talent not to be utilized . He should land somewhere and make an impact

Saw on Smoaky there are claims of substance abuse. 

Doubt that's accurate.
