gary-us-bonds
Guess my thread from last year did not make it in the migration, so I will start a new one. Dionte Robinson signed with UTSA. He is a a senior this year. Lee looked outstanding in the meet at Clear Lake. In the 200, Lee got first, second and fifth, with Robinson, Irving and Hodge. 22.34, 23.64 and 24.24 In the 400, they got first, second and fifth with Jobe, Leonce and Hodge. 49.84, 51.74 and 53.74 In their only relay they participated in, the 1600 relay, they ran a 3:22. Got second in the discuss, Holts with a 157'4" This may be the year to do something if they plan on doing so. Mostly seniors on the squad. With those times and distances this early in the year, they should be challenging for the region.
gary-us-bonds
Robinson with a FAT 10.75 in Pasadena yesterday to win by a half second over the Hardeman kid from Alief Taylor. Irving with 11.44/23.20 1:28.95 in the 800 relay for second behind Summer Creek. 3:24 in the 1600 relay to beat Summer Creek by five seconds. I don't think they intend on focusing on the 400 relay this year, much the same as they did not focus on it last year. Should be an interesting year. They have national elite ability in the 100/200/400/800 relay/1600 relay
Eagle11
I was at the meet in Pasadena friday Panama. I was across the track but saw someone from Lee cross the finish line in the 100 ahead by a good 6 or 7 yards. Summer Creek has a strong team as well. The 110 guys and the 400 relay were really good. I left after the 110's but heard Lee ran away with the 4x400.
gary-us-bonds
That would be Robinson that won the 100. Lee did well at the Clear Creek meet yesterday. Winning the 400, 800 and 1600 relays, with Ridge Point, North Shore, Ozen and Pearland all in attendance at the meet. 3:19.9 in the 1600 relay, good for 9th in the nation. 1:28 in the 800 relay, good for 4th in the nation. 42:06 in the 400 relay, good for 22nd in the nation. I am sure more times will come in this week that may displace them down further.

gary-us-bonds
Good luck to him. As an aside, my wife and I are thinking of moving to Friendswood. Do you commute into Houston from the Clear Brook area, and if so, how rough is it?

gary-us-bonds
Congrats to the ganders for finishing 4th in the region. Sending 4x400 to state with what is currently the 18th best time in the nation. Robinson finished third in the 100 and 200. Not sure how it works but his time is the best non qualifier of any region it seems so he might get to go. Lee also finished third in the 800 relay. Not good enough time to go though. Time was about 25th best in nation.
gary-us-bonds
Robinson finished third in the 100 and 200. 1600 relay still coming. Gamers currently in 10th place. With a good showing in the relay could end up top five.
