History? Dayton was a doormat bottom of the barrel program prior to 1997. Since 97 they have been great. I remember when Dayton would win 1-2 games a season for decades. lol

I know some folks read this that have more details but Dayton had some playoff teams in the 70's and 80's.... quarterfinal team in the 60's I believe and some good teams a loooong time ago when you could only go a couple rounds deep. stick with H-D History.... The early and mid-90's were rough... but you're a little off on your summary.
Nope not off at all. For Dayton, 1997 was the birth of not being the worst program in Texas. Congrats. HD still is the only State Champion in Liberty County.

1-2 games won a year for decades?! Ok..... the diff between myself and you is that I dont feel the need to minimize others' success to make my alma mater look good. Be proud of what you got and act like you've been there before... you know, since your the only one in liberty county that has been.
Listen, the last time HD was good was when the cave man invented fire. So craw back in that sink hole of a town and shut it. Yall have been a door mat the last decade and Dayton has been a respectable program/team. Please tell me what HD football has accomplished in the last 10 years? I can answer it for you, nothing. HD = Everyones first pick at homecoming game. Yall will never be that good again, ever.  At least you have that to look back on when your miserable life starts to take over.
I give HD credit when they deserve it but to bash Dayton when they have been Liberty countys power house is uncalled for.  :o
Like I said, since 1997 Dayton has been stellar. Dayton has a great program, never really bashed them, just saying the truth. Dayton was the laughing stock of SETX for several decades prior to 1997. Heck, Liberty was begging to play them. lol. HD has the most pride and tradition of any Liberty area program. Over 530 victories(7th all-time in 1A), multiple state championships, National Record 43 game winning streak and tons of District Championships. Dayton is a powerhouse program now and good luck in the future. FYI: Hull-Daisetta leads the all-time series vs Dayton 23-21-3. Also Dayton has a winning percentage of 57%, HD has won 63% of it's games.  ;) ;D 8)
