Best and Worse Stadium

At first, my worst stadium was LC-M's digs but it have to be without a doubt Livingston's stadium.  Parking is non existent.  Bleachers only hold like 200 people on the visitor's side and it is underneath a tree where you can reach right up and grab the branches.  I feel like I'm in a child's treehouse.  Also, the stadium light poles are on the sidelines, which mean depending where you sit, the light pole may interfere with your line of sight. Since the lights are that close, only the field area is lit, which means that the fans sit in the dark.  And don't get me started on that annoying woman anouncer... :-X
Livingston is the worst. And the female anouncer is very bad. And Crosby is the worst for a playoff game. Best is Bmt. & P.NG ...But Nederland has the best baseball stadium ;)

Sabine pass has very nice grass the visitor bleachers are a little bit better than years before also Hardin has a very nice turf field those two are pretty nice fields for small schools.... The worst would have to be warren, kountze, evadale,And Burkeville all of these stadiums are pretty bad!!!

Worst = Buna - visiting players have to walk half mile to field and fan's have to adjust to the light poles in their view.

Best = BISD very nice facility for the area, top notch.

Buna will never change.

I know it's out of the area, but have ya'll seen Waller HS stadium. It's very nice. Every time I pass by it going to Austin, I wonder how in the heck did they afford that in a country town.
It IS nice!

Over this way Humble and Huffman are pretty good. BISD is really nice from what I seen over the GT area.

I agree, Turner Stadium (Humble, Kingwood, Atascocita, Summercreek, Kingwood Park High Schools ) has been redone since I graduated from the Atascocita and is even better now. Huffman's stadium is also very very very nice and they have the plus of not having to share it with several high schools like in Humble ISD..I know that when I was in high school we played Thursday and Saturday games in district which were not as fun as the typical Friday Night games you expected from high school football in Texas.

I may need to check out Buna's to see what the fuss is about.

Buna has a light pole in front of the stands at the 50 yard line and the visitors have to walk maybe 150 yards to their locker rooms at the jr high but it beats the old small building they had to use before.

Silsbee = Best stadium but worst turf!!!

I think most stadiums have their pros/cons. PN-G is, hands down, the best press box I have ever been in (from hospitality to convenience and professionalism). Also best scoreboard and probably among the best environments for High School football I've experienced. However, I like Silsbee's sunken bowl and its layout (although it's smaller than PN-G). Combine the best of both Silsbee and PN-G and I think you would have a great environment...ha! Haven't covered a game at Da Butch but I have to place it atop the list, despite any misgivings I may have about the name or BISD in general. It looks great!

As for worse -- There have been a lot of improvements over the past few years at almost all local stadiums but I think the worst I have ever experienced (past encounters - prior to any updates) was HJ in the late 90's. I had to get a broom from the maintenance folks to clean it out before going in. It was covered with spiders and about an inch of dust and I couldn't get the windows to open. I finally gave up and just sat in the bleachers in the second half and told myself "oh yeah..this is a basketball school"...ha. Also found Deweyville to be an odd place (hope they've updated since then). The worse part there was that the game kept being halted so the refs could chase the stray dogs off the field. There were a half dozen or so hounds that kept getting in the way. Talk about a Dawg Pound! HA! And there were broken rows (I think wooden) and I almost slipped through one of them. But, fans were great and very hospitable!

Love Dayton's stadium but the press box needs updating. They've had too much success to not make some improvements (May have since my last visit in 09). First on my list would be a RESTROOM. That's a long walk down for an out of shape sports writer...ha!
??? ???  Well, maybe you'll have an oportunity to judge for yourself once you do a game at the Butch instead of basing it off of someone rubbing you the wrong way in the past...
