Congrats to Jay Bradford and Kagan Angers for qualifying for the UIL State Track Meet in Austin in two events each.

Long Jump: Jay Bradford 23'10" Kagan Angers 22'8"

100 Meter Dash: Jay Bradford 10:54

200 Meter Dash: Kagan Angers 22.10

Both athletes set new school records in their events. Kagan set the record in the 200 in the pre-lims running a 21.89 and Jay set a record for his time in the final. Jay is the record holder in the long jump as well. This will be Kagans third year in a row to go to state and Jays second. Kagan went as a freshman in the 4x400, and Kagan and Jay went last year in the 4x200 and the 4x400. Now they are each going in individual events. Big accomplishment!! Kagan is a junior this year and Jay is a sophomore.

Congratulations to both young men on their accomplishments.  I would loved to have seen the relay team make it back this year. Maybe we could have placed in the top three in team totals with a strong  relay finish. Splendora Wildcat fans can be PROUD of both young men.
