Both athletes set new school records in their events. Kagan set the record in the 200 in the pre-lims running a 21.89 and Jay set a record for his time in the final. Jay is the record holder in the long jump as well. This will be Kagans third year in a row to go to state and Jays second. Kagan went as a freshman in the 4x400, and Kagan and Jay went last year in the 4x200 and the 4x400. Now they are each going in individual events. Big accomplishment!! Kagan is a junior this year and Jay is a sophomore.
