I don’t think they would get in either way unless mass chaos happens Saturday and everyone loses.  Too much money at stake and the big guys are always going to make the playoff before a Group of 5 team.

Any time Ohio St, Oklahoma, Texas, Bama, Michigan, Notre Dame, and maybe 1 or 2 others are in line, they will go over UCF every single time.  Ex-  tOSU jumping Baylor and Tcu a few years ago.   Money will always win out

The issue this year is they may to pick between Ohio St and Oklahoma which will have very similar resumes and both AD’s are on the selection committee.  They will both have to leave the room for this discussion, so it may come down to who is better friends with the other 11.

True, anytime a blue blood is in line to go, They’ll always pick them over non blue bloods

I think most rational fans would agree with that. Maybe even a few on this site.  Herman has them playing well.

Yea I’m bias for Texas teams so I wanted Texas to do well, but they aren’t ready to compete for a championship yet, but like I said Herman has them in the right direction and they should make a nice bowl game if they can finish strong

  3. #19 Texas at #7 Oklahoma Toss up, Herman doesn’t lose in big games, but OU’s offense is like a video game right now..i think OU wins but I wouldn’t be surprised at all if Texas pulled this out. Texas hasn’t seen a offense like Oklahoma but Oklahoma hasn’t seen a defense like Texas

#13 Kentucky The wildcats defense is underrated I think they’ll control the line of scrimmage and pressure Mond all night .

#1 Alabama no need to explain

#17 Miami(-12.5) I like Miami’s new QB change. FSU won last week but I still don’t think they know how to.

#5 LSU setting up for a big showdown in Baton Rouge

    #3 Ohio St(-25)

    #8 Auburn

    #6 Notre Dame

    #15 Michigan(-17)

    #10 Washington

    #16 Wisconsin(-21)

UT of last week wins, UT of the last 7 years, loses

Idk this is a talented TCU team, Elingher has to play responsible against a Gary Patterson coached team. You know he’s gonna make Sam a passer, and is probably telling his defense to just wait and let the play come to them, cus he knows Sam will eventually make a mistake is they make him a passer ..The ground game has to be good to help Sam out

  5. #1 Bama(-24.5)  I agree with the spread , I don’t think it will be close..Tua has this offense playing the best I’ve seen since Sabans been there,,,Defense is still solid.

#17 TCU(-3) Texas coming off a big win against SC but TCU is a different animal. I believe Texas Defense will make Robinson a passer, but he has weapons and idk if Texas will make enough plays to keep up.

#8 Notre Dame(-7.5) I believe ND is overrated but I do like them against Wake.

#19 Michigan Unfourtuntly Frost will have to wait another week to find his firs win.

#12 West Virginia(-14.5) WVU is my sleeper team to run the table, KState won’t make it easy but WVU has to many weapons

#15 Okie St even in a supposedly down year is still playing good ball. Gimme Okie St in a shoot out

*Upset pick* Kentucky I like the way this Kentucky team is playing, Miss St isn’t unbeatable and it’s a night game in Lexington , smh stars are aligned for a Wildcat win.

Auburn(-27) Will look to bounce back after a Let down in the final minutes against LSU. Arkansas just looks bad.

#7 Stanford I don’t know if Oregon is for real yet, but I like Stanford wouldn’t be surprised if Oregon does pull it off though.

#18 Wisconsin Wisconsin looking to bounce back after a over hyped off-season . Iowa’s offense isn’t anything special so give me the badgers

#10 Washington(-17.5) I like what Herm is doing in Tempe and the Devils are very much improved but In Seattle give me the Dawgs to take this one.

  6. Gimme

Texas, Tom has a thing for getting his teams up for big games, let’s face it even tho they lost to Maryland The first two games were snoozes they should be up for this one

A&M should have the starters out by mid 2nd

OU, I like wat Campbell is doing in Iowa but OU has been looking very good, i love how Riley is building that program

Auburn only because they’re at home and I like Stidhim, Nothing like the plains

Tech, They’ll show a lot of fight with Kingsbury job on the line, If he has a bad season and is let go I kno a team in Austin that could use his services in the worse way

Ole Miss, *Upset special of the week*  Bama has had some horror stories in Oxford , Plus Ole Miss has Bamas kryptonite, (A scrambling QB)

TCU- Let’s go boys put on for the State, Robinson has his Heisman moment

    *Homer Pick*

North Texas has been particularly good against the SEC, I think we stay undefeated with a win against Pig-Soowie or.w.e it is

    North Texas - 28

    Arkansas - 24

  7. I seen this take on another forum, and i for see his point..

Think about this, If you think about Ohio State offenses in the last few years when they were at there best (with Herman) they had a pocket passer who could run (Barrett, Jones,) here at Texas they have the opposite, a runner who tries to pass hence why the offense is so dead, you need to be able to pass to run which was why them Ohio State teams could do both very well.. I think the offense would flow better with a QB like Rising, (Big, great arm, but can also run if need be)..now we have a good offense and we start getting more athletes/playmakers (Wilson, Demas, Waddle) hence problem solved Texas comes out of the worse years

Also another observation, I think Herman went about it all wrong with the coaching hires, when he first got here he said he hired coaches based on recruiting purposes. Imo he should have went after the best coaches , cus at the end of the day Winning is the answer to every problem (recruits, fans, etc) but now we have coaches not including (Orlando, Washington, Navarro, Dayton) who lose recruiting battles and can’t really coach (Meringer,Giles, Wenkhemire, Beck)..One example is Herb Hand, not known as a great recruiter but is regarded as a great coach, now u have a vastly improved O-Line, and good OLine commits..If this season ain’t up to par Herman really needs to sit down and think what he is trying to do, then go out and get the coaches to make that happen, once u get the coaches the wins will come, once you get the wins the recruits will come then so on with the championships

He was only stating what he saw. They missed lots of tackles. No one stood out as the leader. All the kids seemed complacent with it. The coaches seemed complacent with it.

regardless the other team, the kids weren't playing with urgency. I'll say it again, this looked like Ozen minus the blue. I'm used to our kids gain tackling, running QBs down and finishing them off, it was bad last night. I hope we get it together before district starts.

Yes I dont think ive ever seen a game where a kid plowed through Central kids leaving a couple down on the ground. Kids from the north end where always tough and rugged lol

I have a picture of the helmet without logo but can't upload it for some reason. Maroon helmet with gold facemask, similar to the Redskins...

Ahhhh I was hoping they’d go Gold Helment like Minnesota University,

lol I’m just start wishing for things I don’t want, cus obviously the stuff I’m hoping for isn’t happening so ..

Maybe 1st game jitters as that was the 1st time the Central and Ozen athletes have competed together.  Like Texasball said, just give them time...

Yea coach said this was there first time doing any activity,  and it showed.  But the talent is there, just gotta get thoes ones walking the hallways and Gel. United will be fine going forward

  11. Im out here and just a little update from teams ive seen

Westbrook ended up sending there Upcoming JV, and man thoes guys can play some ball. Probably the best team out here

United has some athletes, tlked to the coach and theyre still waiting for a few players but majority of them are out there..they played decent. They kinda look like a new franchise just starting with athletes..No chemistry basically but they have some dudes. Got it going after the 1st game. QB has a decent arm, WRs got speed, they just need some time to gel an theyll get better .

GCM has some nice looking players. QB play wasnt as good 1st game but the 2nd game they connected on 4 or 5 i think. got a good set of WRs.

Silsbee probably was the only other team i seen an they have some athletes and good concepts.  Good looking kids, i look for Silsbees to have a good year

United has put together a 7 on 7 team, they played at another location yesterday.  Being that they are district foes and crosstown rivals, I don't know how many tournaments that you are going to see them at that West Brook is participating in.

Yea in eager to see them, hope to catch them at a local tounry soon

Heard they have one coming up at Legacy next week and Kelly week.after. not sure who all will be in attendance
