Friday night was the first and will be the last time I see the Bucs play this season.  I was disappointed in EC's lack of on-field leadership. I didn't see any of the kids trying to pump each other up.

Kudos to Hardin. They came to play.

Anyone heard from ECBucFan or Bucster since Ike? Miss their input on the message board.

Bucster has been transferred to Midland Texas. Don't have much time to read the board anymore.

Just to set the story straight. Corrigan was trying to fill a schedule. Coach Armstrong at Corrigan asked Barbay specifically to play week 0. With Barbay normally not being a week 0 type of guy, he wanted to play a different week, but rest of the CC schedule was full.

Whether you play your first game on week 0 or week 1, it's still your first game of the season.

Many players playing both ways. Congrats on ya'lls win orangefield. They are down this year. Watched the game this mornin. #7 from e.c. looked good. Not so much impress with Raymond. Looking forward to our game.

Don't think EC was terribly impressed with the Buna-Trinity film this morning either. Good to see that Buna is continuing their tradition of any win is good, even if it's against St. Tabitha's School for the Blind, Lame and Infirm.  ;D

What's really funny is UT's 2 most successful modern day head coaches have ties to OU. DKR was All-American at OU and Mack Brown was OC at OU in 1984 until Switzer got him an HC job at Tulane.

My advice?  Don't worry about it.  These coaches get paid to win, and if your kid is good enough to help the team, he will get his chance.  It might take a little while to get past the name recognition problem, but it will happen eventually for the really talented kids.

Good point, they get paid to win. A coach is not going to play less talent and end up getting his but run off. If you kid is good enough he will get to play.

If the lesser talented kid has the same last name as the Superintendent or Board President, he/she is going to play. It happens in schools all over this state. Doesn't make it right but it is what it is.
