  1.   Bullets, we talked off line and you know my stance.....I don't hate her, would of wanted to know before my son found out by another kid...and I thought LISD handled it wrong......BUT   What is your stance on the rest of my comments?  The part about legally a female with male parts.....and dress code.   One other thing.....shouldn't a parent have a say in what their child is exposed to?
  2. Am I the only one who just don't understand?   I teach my kid to accept everyone, don't be judgmental etc...   Here is my issue (even though I still stand behind how I would have handled this in my earlier post.....you don't have to agree with something to do the right thing)   For the sake of my discussion we are going to call him a He....as I understand he still has male anatomy.   He claims he has legal papers that he is a woman. He has taken some medication and is wanting in the FUTURE to have a sex change. So, in my opinion, he is still male. How can he legally be considered a female with male parts?   So, do we have a male teacher dressing up like a female?   Does this open up that male students can now dress up like women if they want? Can they wear makeup or earrings?     I guess I'm confused.....
  3. I have a weird feeling this is not over.........
  4.   yes,,,but it appears LISD didn't want BISD hogging up all that free press, so they made it a controversial issue when it was a simple fix........
  5.   Like I have said many times....unlike others, I don't get on here and defend my school district because they are like me.......   I think they handled this completely wrong......Had I been in charge....   1.  If LISD decided we didn't want her back....I would have let her complete whatever schedule she had and not called her back (she is on a list with other subs) ...end of problem.   2.  If LISD agreed she should teach, she would still be on the list and she could be called.....   Note....there is no discrimination case according to the laws I have looked up.....but if they fire her, there will probably be a case and it may be a huge mistake for the district......   They should of handled it like I said and we wouldn't be having this conversation.......   Oh yea......GO RAIDERS :D
  6. Michael Williams told BISD callers that Superintendent Timothy Chargois would likely not stay on the district's payroll if the state appoints managers
  7.   The TEA faulted Chargois......read the TEA report....McCraney stole money when Thomas was in charge.....soooo, apparently Thomas didn't notice the fraud.....or did he turn his head?
  8.   And something else.......According to the TEA, The current superintendent Dr.  Chargois did not supervise the daily operations of the district, leaving them open for all this fraud. This fraud was going on when Dr. Thomas was in charge, making him just as responsible as Chargois.....and actually MORE responsible because Chargois was just letting the district run on the policies (or lack of) that Thomas had put into play.
  9. Boasting that someone is untouchable..... And we wonder why BISD is in this mess
  10.   So, if you did not provide the alcohol but were there....you can be charged because you didn't call police?
  11.   OK....we need an Admin and quick!! Someone has stoled :P  Doves idenity and posting things that make sense!!!
  12.   She is a He right now.......
  13.   Don't worry about it Dove.....They can't touch him.....he was the highest paid Sup. in texas for a reason.....lol
  14.   I sound dumb? That the best you got?
  15.   Aggie......ozensfinest is not taking that bet because he dosen't want to take your money......maybe he is Ozen's finest :D
  16.   They = several posters that seem excited other school districts are in the news, some even posting about getting popcorn.....
  17. When I was in High School there was never a prom that alcohol was not involved in some way.
  18. Males have a pretty strict policy. My son's hair cannot be past his earlobe or on his collar.   I would assume teachers have the same dress code,.
  19. Oh come on TVC....don't ruin it for them....they were really thinking they were on to something.
  20. Probably won't......it's not that big a deal......now the tranny teacher may be up for a while.....and BISD as long as they keep making bad decisions....it's all about what people like to talk about.....
  21.     Looks like the local media does pick up stories on ALLLL School districts.......weird,,,,,,
  22. I'm a Lumberton conservative parent and my child is in the next school up......here is my only issue....   If he is a man and you can tell (did not see him) the kids would ask probably....why are you dressed like a woman,,,,,   I would like to be the one to explain it to my son....that is really my only issue.   Everyone has a right to values and how they chose to raise their children. Some parents are able to opt out of sex education and teach it themselves.....   I also think they should now change the dress code.....my son would like to have long hair.....and I would like to let him before he has to get a job!
  23.   Enjoy yourself......This situation does not bother me one bit.    I don't get my feelings hurt and support things JUST because of skin color or because I live in the town.   As it looks, LISD may have made a costly mistake.......but I don't really know the law.
