If you do not break out into a strut when you hear "Sir Duke" or "Superstition" or "Signed, Sealed, Delivered, I'm Yours" then you are not normal.  Go see a doctor.  Regardless if you are white, black, brown, purple, green or whatever you want to label yourself, there is an appreciation for the song writing, musical arrangement, and singing talents of The Genius, Stevie Wonder.  Even if you think white people can't dance or strut, they still do it --- consciously or unconsciously --- when they hear Stevie Wonder.  There is a reason why Jim Henson and the Muppets (Sesame Street for the old school) loved having Wonderful Stevie Wonder as a guest star for the letters "W" and "M"...he reached everybody with his "w"onderful "m"usic...white, black, young, old.

Question:  With new schools and facilities, and many others renovated/remodeled, and with bond issues on the ballot, why is PAISD losing students?  Why is enrollment dropping?  The same question for PN-G?  We used to have an enrollment around 1600 (give or take a few) and now we are down in the 1300 range.  PAM had 2400+ kids and is now closer to a drop in classification.  Yes, I think PN-G should play PAM.  It would be a decent game most of the time.  During seasons where our talent pool is up ala 2014-2016, the Indians can go toe to toe with anyone.  Schedule it and go play and compete.  Not sure why we don't scrimmage or play in pre-district.

He is fine.  A few back spasms...getting treatment...everything should be fine.  The best thing to come out of the PN-G, LC-M and H-F scrimmage was the fact that Ky Walker can slide in and play QB if or when needed.  After he warmed up and had a few roll outs under his belt, he was throwing darts.  A few WR drops, but that is expected in the first scrimamge.  Love the fact the Indians can go big with WRs, tall and big, or they can go small and quick at WR, or a combo of both.  Having WRs on both ends at 6'3" or 6'4" or mixing in a quick WR like Sparks give us options all over the field.  RB Halfin has added some muscle.  LB Hughes is a player...he finds the ball and sticks his face mask in the middle of things.  If our OL gels, it could be a fun season for the Indians.  How about the size LC-M brought to the field?  What are the feeding kids at LC-M?  They have some large kids on the OL, DL, and at TE.  H-F had a few kids with size, too, on the DL.

No more Quirante kids should be allowed at VHS...1 was more than enough...there should be a limit under UIL rules. [joke]  If it MQ 2.0 is a younger brother, what big shoes to fill.  The original MQ left a large, I mean massive, footprint at VHS.  Nothing wrong with Jeff Matthews' system or long range planning.  Go with a youth movement, play those SOPHs in 2014 and grow with them in 2015 and 2016.  Tell the truth robanadana, is MQ 2.0 anything similar to the original MQ?

You should be offended.  The PN-G W-L record vs. Vidor is 41-11-1.  After Friday, November 7, 2014, that record will be 42-11-1.  That is offensive.  The Indians will be on their way to the playoffs and the Pirates will be headed back to P.E.  Again, offensive.  Scores like PN-G 48 and Vidor 13 = offensive.

Has Vidor figured out the forward pass is legal in Texas high school football?  I wasn't sure after last season...the Pirates couldn't stop the pass on defense or complete one on offense.

No more Quirante kids allowed in the VISD.  One was too many.

Much respect for Larry Neumann, Monte Barrow, and especially Delbert Spell.  Outstanding coaches.  PN-G v. Ned is usually as good a TX HS game as you will find.  Rarely a blowout.   A few plays and play makers usually determine the outcome.

    19 games and 3 DC = impressive.

Time for the DC to change hands...not leaving Mid-County...just sliding over to PN-G for a few years.

Why not name it Beaumont ISD Stadium and have a plaque or Honor Wall naming and picturing all of the people in Beaumont who have contributed to the history and legacy of BISD including Levias, Durley, Ozen, Smith, Shaver, Carroll, Chargois, et al.  People make too much of an issue about names, titles, logos, team names, etc.  It is a nice facility.  Throw up an Honor Wall and name those in Beaumont that contributed to the foundation and achievements of BISD.  Next, move on....

1989NDN got a reaction from prepballfan in will your FG kicker be back and how strong is leg
At PN-G, we need to find the next D. East.  I don't know how strong of a kicking leg/foot he had, but to me it did not matter.  When the Indians needed a 30-yard FG, he made it.  When the Indians needed a 38-yard FG, he made it.  When Indians needed a 15-yard FG, he made it.  And, most important, when it was clutch, he made it, i.e., when he needed to make a FG  with very little time left to beat Ozen and put PN-G in the 2013 playoffs, he made it.  He had poise, his balls were brass, and his leg/foot was "strong enough."

Let's go find the next D. East at PN-G.

It is hard to fault the kids or Coach Foreman for celebrating.  (1) It gives the players an incentive to play well this season, stay out of trouble and on task, and prove why a verbal commitment during July 2014 should be a binding one in February 2015; and, (2) it gives Coach Foreman a platform to showcase his program.  Maybe an 8th grader or FR or SOPH or JR will see the "ceremony" and come out for football in August.  Coaches are doing whatever they can to advertise and showcase their programs.  They have to compete for talent that may be playing another sport or sitting at home playing video games.  Whatever it takes to get more talent in the program, so be it (so long as it is legal, i.e., within the rules of the UIL).
