Well our (LU) old golf coach is now the head coach at Arkansas who finished second, Blake McMakin, and the kid that lost the final match at the very end Adam Landry went to PN-G.

It's a shame too. The college channel like ESPNU and FSC show games and sometimes FSN. A couple of years ago ESPN started showing games but that fizzled out. I love college baseball heck I went on vacation last week to Corpus to watch LU and had a great time.

Honestly I don't think the kid would have done anything, you know how it is when you're mad and one of your friends "hold" you back after a little push. Still totally uncalled for but these are kids and we all make mistakes. I was just happy to see my friend pull the kid out even though it was a playoff game.

I agree but being popular doesn't mean it's the top sport. At one time Southeast Texas was a football power but things have changed even though people have a hard time admitting it and this is coming from a PN-G Indian fan. Baseball year in and year out has teams advancing to at least the Region Quarterfinals and most years State, the same can be said for basketball I go to Austin almost every year. When football goes it's very special cause it doesn't happen often. From the 50's through the 80's SETX was in the Semifinals on a regualr basis but not lately.

I'd say you decide an areas number one sport on wins on the field not butts in seats. Sorry I love football and as far as a spectator sport it's number one everywhere in the state but Southeast Texas has become to me as follows. 1. Baseball 2. Basketball 3. Football Ok start throwing the stones now but records don't lie.

I was only there 2 inning but in the second the wheels fell off, pitchers couldn't find the strike zone. After the first pitcher was taken out the second kid gave up a grand slam, a few pitches later the umpire still wouldn't call strikes even though I didn't think he was doing a bad job and the kid started mouthing and was held back at that point by his catcher. From there my buddy who is the head coach removed that player from the game which I believe was the right thing to do then things got worse from there.

They had some teachers walking around checking I just kept moving, it worked out in the end.
