Things really are coming together, and with the new stands going up it actually is starting to look like a stadiium again. Also one thing I noticed was how the turf on the field house side extends all the way to the track, most stadiums I've seen with tracks don't have that. On the video it said that the new stadium is scheduled to be finished by Sept. home opener. I had heard Oct 10th. That sounds more feasable to me. It is now October, I got a call after the story aired. The Texas City game might be moved to a neautral site because there stadium might not be ready.

Endzone now says INDIANS in white outlined in black. They're adding all other striping and other details as we speak. I'll have video at 6 and 10.

As someone that came from Groves American I hate the name change but understand it. Back when I was playing things were much different with GA being the place to play and All-Stars constantly advancing to the Regionals. I just prefer PONY over Little League I think is prepares you better but that's just my opinion. As far as the purple thing, lol we wore Red, White and Blue in all-stars but back then so did the National league.

I got back around 9:25 stayed for 4 innings. I have to say that COULDN'T have been Seven Lakes number one, BP fast ball with a curve ball he didn't control very well. Indians had opportunities to score more. Not knocking on the kid from Katy just not the kind of guy you would usually see in game 1 of a playoff series, Spartans will probably throw no. 1 in game 2.

Back when I was at the Rez PN-G beat Lincoln 32-0 in 1997. Think Jason Meyers threw a no-no.

Seeing those "goose eggs" on the updates, I had a feeling Harrington might be on the mound. Congrats to PNG. The score was 0-0 going into 7th when PNG scored 4, Blake Reyenga with winning hit. Harrington looked good against Lufkin, getting a ton of ground balls. Lufkin pitcher was solid also. Final was actually PN-G 3 Lufkin 0, 3 spot in the 7th. I was at the entire game. Harrington looked solid, Lufkin can play some D. Both teams left the bases loaded in the 6th. Eric nearly blew it in the 6th with the bases loaded a grounder was hit back up the middle instead of going home to first he initially turned towards 2nd before snapping and throwing home runner was safe at first luckily he got the next batter to ground out. Great game with the wind gusting in about 25 mph.

I've actually heard there is a new scoreboard in the works with video, plus ribbon boards.

I'm hearing Saturday afternoon at Baytown Stallworth before PN-G / Lamar Consolidated. Nothing official though.

PN-G dropped game one to Santa Fe 25-9. Rock-A-Noos looked sluggish while Santa Fe was very sharp.

This happened all the time when I went to PN-G. Either it would say Nederland, TJ or even one year there was kind of a Cardinal head with a BC burned on the field. Don't put it past a PN-G student doing it that's all I'm saying it's happened before.

This is based on if the playoffs started today, not predictions by me. I also believe Evadale will make it just as they did last year after an 0-2 district start.
