  1. Ha, I wore a sleevless baseball jersey shorts and sandals LOL my parents said they didn't care.
  2. There was actually some talk of that at the school. The district decided to keep it at the Montagne Center because, apparently, at some point in the past, graduation has had to be postponed due to the weather. Take it for what it's worth, it is hearsay, but, as much as I hate the loss of that tradition, it seems like a reasonable move. I remember back in the late 80's or early 90's PN-G using the Montagne Center. My sister's in '92 was rained out in the stadium so they did it in the old gym and needless to say only 2 family members were allowed in per student. Tradition or not I graduated in the stadium in '98 and it was flippin hot!
  3. Ease up did you see the pitches, that was Rice's true closer not exactly a push over and they brought him in the 8th. Lamar attempted a bunt with 0 outs and a runner at 2nd but couldn't get it down. That closer has 32 K's in 29 innings. Choke come on give me a break LU rallied from a 7 run deficit against the 3rd ranked team in the nation the same team that strummed Sam last night and has wins over UCLA, A&M, UT, Baylor and they're on a 8 game win streak right now. Time to regroup. I just talked to G and I can tell you this one hurts he really wanted this one but this weekend's series is more important.
  4. That is Hofheinz, wonder why the Coogs wore red at home?
  5. A friend of a friend of mine actually made that, I love it.
  6. Anyone heard a final when I left Kelly was down 2-1 going to the 3rd
  7. Texas St. beat Prairie View 33-3 last night
  8. Defense was horrible on Sunday, 4 errors way too many against a team like Texas St. who isn't all bad. They lost to Texas by 1 and scored 17 against Baylore (even though they gave up 22 WOW). As much as I'd like to try and convince everyone that we do have a good team this year the schedule speaks for it. Austin Peay (9-12) WWWW Siena (0-18) WW Columbia (2-15) WWWL Houston Baptist (2-17) W *Nicholls St. (11-9) LWW Prairie View A&M (14-9) LW *Central Arkansas (12-9) LWW Houston (6-16) L *Texas St. (12-8) WLL We're (16-7) against teams with a combined record of (72-113) Record vs teams with winning record (6-5) Still if they can pull off a miracle and beat Rice who's (14-6) and has already lost to Sam Houston it would look a lot better. This weekend's series at SLU will be tough the Lions are (14-7) and are receiving votes in national polls after beating Tulane twice last week. Good news, we're ONLY 1 game out of first with 24 SLC games left not time to panic yet. And despite a weaker than normal schedule 40 wins is still a magic number to get into regioinals especially if you knock of Rice.
  9. What confuses me about the BISD stadium is it's seating capacity. They say it will be 11,000 capacity, but with two decks on each side, you would think there would be more. I know that PNG, Nederland, and even 3A Silsbee's stadium holds 10,000, and that's just single decks on both sides. PNG's stadium probably holds more than 10,000 with it's new expansion. Cardinal Stadium holds 17,500 with single decks, roughly 7,000 more than what the BISD stadium will hold. Maybe that has something to do with the lower costs of builing the BISD stadium. Looks as though those decks won't be very big. : These are the numbers listed for biggest HS stadiums in SETX 1. Indian Stadium (PN-G) 13,000 2. Bulldog Stadium (Nederland) 11,000 3. Durley Stadium (West Brook) 10,000 3. Zaharias Stadium (Central) 10,000 3. Raider Stadium (Lumberton) 10,000 6. Pirate Stadium (Vidor) 9,600 7. Hooks Stadium (WOS) 9,500 8. Tiger Stadium (Silsbee) 9,300 9. Memorial Stadium (Memorial) 8,500- I think this number is off even though it has gotten smaller over the years. 9. Ward Stadium (Bridge City) 8,500 9. Bear Stadium (LC-M) 8,500 Lumberton added I had it just forgot to type it.
  10. It should be this based off last year vs Barbers Hill vs Crosby vs Texas City NOTE: ALL HOME NON-DISTRICT GAMES AFTER BEING ON THE ROAD MOST OF LAST YEAR Also the Texas City game was cancelled that was supposed to be at their place not sure what they agreed for this year. They beat both Barbers Hill and Crosby last year so maybe they could pull that off again, Texas City on the other hand could be a tall task.
  11. I've alway thought they should brick the Montagne it would look much nicer and hold up better. The early drawings of the stadium had it bricked and it seems like every new building on campus is in red brick.
  12. SETMSBL has tryout info up on site now.
  13. Don't quote me but I had heard they came up with it after a camp held by TCU.
  14. LC-M scored all 3 runs in the 1st with 2 outs. The first run scored on a bouncing ball up the middle that actually hit the bag, bouncing it right over the SS and 2B from PN-G. Wish I couldve stayed longer but had to head to Lamar.
  15. The old logo is fine, they've used it plenty all the way up til last season but change is good. Plus it's not a generic ripoff of Florida St. or Redskins.
  16. TCU had the logo back in 1977 so WOS has to be based of it.
  17. Second helmet in our area inspired by TCU. WO-S flying WOS is after TCU's logo from the 80's
  18. Yes it is, I'm coming out of my 1 year retirement to probably play for the Angels again. I'll try to find out the dates.
  19. THURSDAY PN-G 19 Merryville, LA 4 F FRIDAY PN-G 11 Christian Life Academy 2 F SATURDAY PN-G vs Kaplan, LA 11 AM PN-G vs Sulphur, LA 5 PM
  20. understand completely and he may decide to go to a D-1 but just trying to give reasons why JUCO might be a better fit Many times players with a chance to be drafted in the next couple of years will head to a JUCO instead of D1 also if they have a better chance starting immediatly they'll play at a JUCO. On a lot of levels there are better players at the JUCO level people in baseball circles know about San Jac they are a powerhouse ranked 5th in the nation right now.
  21. Nate Svoboda was pitching for the Brook and Jeffrey Jolivet for Ozen.
  22. West Brook up 1-0 after 3 innings. Scored run on a balk. Think the Bruin pitcher had 9 k's through 3 innings I didn't see the 1st. Ozen is throwing a kid that throws A LOT of offspeed stuff keeping WB off balanced, lots of K's and pop ups.
  23. I played 2 summers with Royal in the men's the league he was still dominate!
