  1. I think I'll go with the sushi or sashimi if they have it. No need to waste perfectly good raw fish by wrapping rice around it.
  2. LC-M sure doesn't get a lot of love from them. Rated 180 with a -5 power rating.
  3. I think that it way too early for me to even think about this game or what I should think about it when the time comes.
  4. IF that is true, it is a bad sign for LC-M if the kids aren't coming out to play.
  5. If the water is in fairly good shape, some top waters can really be fun around there. I even use some really big top water plugs. That is especially true on the beach side if you can catch the north wind laying the surf down, usually after these first few cold fronts start coming in. You can really get some big trout on top waters.
  6. Hmmm.... I wonder what it is that Gasilla is smelling? Great stuff there. I love that innuendo. That is a comment right up my alley and I am ashamed that you beat me to it.
  7. That is kind of like: I guarantee a win ........unless we lose. You know, when Joe Namath made his now famous guarantee of a win over the Colts, he didn't qualify it by adding that they could possibly get beat. ;D
  8. Bow only areas would be great if that was all that is allowed. What about squirrel hunters when the season runs concurrently with bow season? I bow hunt every year on my lease (the only way I took one last year) and have hunted in south Texas on a bow only ranch. I have a hunt coming up in south Texas in November.
  9. I've thought about it before I got on my current lease. I've been to some Type II land but never deer hunted on it. It is my opinion that such places are probably just too crowded. I know some areas are not heavily traveled but you are going into the wood no knowing who is hunting near you or who may walk up on a great spot that you found. Having said that, I would still give it a try if I couldn't afford a lease and especially if I found some Type II that was hardly used.
  10. I thought about that also. It seems that they have more in common in student numbers with the smaller schools than the bigger ones.
  11. I am guessing that he is disagreeing that all schools have the problem. I think all schools have the "potential" for the problem but an aggressive stance by the school's administration and coaching staffs can stop it or keep it severely in check.
  12. He never sleeps. I think he has a surrogate or clone.
  13. That they will. Maybe the Pirates can be in the thick of things. Anytime you have that much depth returning it has to be taken seriously.
  14. Yep. The Super Bowl, World Series, Stanley Cup and Master's golf championship all rolled up into one event for Vidor. Beat the Bulldogs in football and the rest of the year is a piece of cake. The pirate fans so much want this to be a rivalry game. It is hard to take it that way when only one school sees it as such. Good luck Vidor anyway. One of these years you will make the playoffs again and we are pulling for you. Heck, you've already got three playoff appearances since 1940. You'd better watch out though, Lumberton is hot on your trail.
  15. It sure will. Flash forward 20 years with a bunch of old Ozen former ball players sitting around talking about the old times..... "Remember back in '08 when we got trashed by WB?"
  16. Let's see. As a Nederland fan, it has to be a toss up between Livingston and PN-G. Hmmm..... well, I guess I will have to go with Livingston.
  17. Ready to go. I am up to about 25 words a minute. Get ready for some high speed posts.
  18. Just like scrimmages, preseason games are for pride and practice. After that, they mean nothing... but they sure are nice to win.
  19. We are just waiting for our starting lineup to be named so the whole team can be included. Get back to us in a couple of weeks after the scrimmages. Thanks.
  20. That's right. This one, like every other, means absolutely nothing.
  21. It will prove that the team is 1-0. Nothing else can be proven after one game by any team. Even WO-S's loss to Nederland will not prove that they are a bad team or can't keep up. It will just mean that they have work to do.
  22. I think that 28 is a stretch.... but not by much. In the same Beaumont Bowl rivalry last year, West Brook won by a combined 37 points. West Brook has most of their offense back this year including their qb and to rb (I think). Rivalry or not..........
