Beaumont needs to go back to 2 schools period. When I was at West Brook in late 80's and early 90's, West Brook and Central were in the playoffs every year. They put out very competitive teams. The old Hebert folks screwed up Beaumont when the ISD gave in and let them have their old Hebert back. Funny thing is, Ozen with the exception of a couple of good years in basketball and a couple in football hasn't done squat. If BISD folks are happy though then keep it 3 schools and get use to mediocre.

I think they're trying to stop that from happening.  Imo they need to remove the magnet programs from both Ozen and Central and do some major rezoning....  This problem didn't exist when it was 2 schools.  It. Was cut and dry.  South park, Pear Orchard, and west end went to West Brook.  Old Town, South end, and North End went to Central.   

Will someone in the know explain/share with us who makes/made the decision for OZEN High School to opt out and stay in class 5A. Curiuos was it The Board of managers,The AD or the school itself ?
In my opinion only Ozen struggles with the numbers putting together a competitve group every year. The U.I.L. put together a system by numbers to give a level playing field to all. Travel cost
shouldnt that big of a difference if thats one of the reasons.Jmo..... 

Although I agree that things were simpler when there were 2 high schools, Dr. Thomas wasn't the one responsible for Ozen coming into existence.  It was the old heads from Hebert that pushed for it.  They've been waiting to get another school for years. 

That's the school district thinking about themselves. Its not fair to kids, they should be in the classification of their numbers, so its an even playing field. That's why we have these numbers.

You got that right.  You can drive through the Ozen parking lot after school and see kids just "hanging out" that could make an immediate impact on many local teams.

BMW lost a tough one in the final seconds to Nederland B 31 to 26. These teams played hard and battled to the last seconds of the game to decide the win. Congrats to both on a successful season and hats off to BMW for a turn around season of 0 wins last season to a 7-1-2 season this year. #12 for Nederland B played superman to day and willed his team to victory with great help from his team.

I for one think we have to look at the league policy again when dealing with weather at the end of the day these or kids but rules are rules just hate to see it happen like that great season BMT-G #salute

The winner of the SB this year will not be stripped whomever win it will  truly deserve it! Its some really good teams in the Sr division this year. Believe me I'm keeping up with it. We really miss playing but its ok our boys are having fun and thats all that matters!! No ill feeling toward no one and may the  best team win it. My money is on the Ned Team though!! I'm a super fan of some of those young men that play in Mid County!!

Ozen goes as fas as the QB takes them. I expect a very big season for him & the RB this yr.  Defense will definitely be the question, if the can tighten up Ozen will make some noise.
QB is definitely faster, stronger, & more determined this year for Ozen.  Go Panthers!!!! See ya'll in PA

After last season I think the kids should be pumped for this year. A lot to prove for the kids and coaching. KH has to make playoffs this year or next. Or he'll be looking for a new job. I'm hoping and thinking they'll be alright. Slightly better than what's predicted.

Here we go I can hear it Now !!! Who ever wins Super Bowl this yr will have it stripped from them as far as the Bmt boys go! What the readers don't know is they are letting us have it this yr and we are lucky and thank full!

Not being sarcastic at all. When BMT lost you were the one to start this thread and counted Bmt out as if Png had done something. Let your team play a quality team without its Hc/OC and no practice the week of the game to prepare the kids. Then to lose by 2 after all of that should've told you something about them. Png whined about not having their O.C against yall and that's why they lost 19-0. Like I said, lose your HC/OC, and come play Bmt. I promise you the game won't come down to extra pts. I honesty think you guys are the 2nd best team in the league behind the 10yr Old Bmt Sr kids. Went to Wos and took care of business. Went to Png and took care of business. Rivers has to be coach of the yr. All the drama he had to deal with this year and then to coach the kids Sunday dealing with a huge family loss is big time bro. I agree with you 100% jag. But you know what? The STJFL is the best league around and a few jealous board members can take away wins and suspend coaches but they can't break the heart winners and that's exactly what the Bmt Sr. and Ned W team did. They proved the heart of a champion can't be broke and brought home Super Bowl trophies. Congratulations to both programs because you won't hear that coming from the board!!!

Its been one hellava year! I just want to say it once again this is one of the best Jr football leagues in the state of Texas. just like anything, it has its goods and bads! I'm going to start out by saying its been a pleasure to coach the BMT SR team this year. I dont really know when it all started, but the majority of the STJFL Board didnt even want us to win. Well guess what, they did. The STJFL President wasnt even present to present their trophies. Its amazing how a formal board meeting can be arranged in less than 24 hrs but you cant make a trophy presentation to kids.  The other guy that hates BMT the most is BOBCAT101 (JUAN), did the presentation and it was about as sincere as a 3 dollar bill. These guys cant even speak to the BMT coaches that were left to coach the team after all the pot stirring!!! Juan you need to police your own league like not allowing kids to pick pro bowl players. The word is letters are being written to get rid of you. Than you turn around and make comments like youve heard worst that that at home. Let me explain this, supposely some fans called the OF cheerleaders the B word, so a parent told Juan and he said your daughter hears worst that that at home!!! You are not liked by anyone that i have spoken too but you walk around like your stuff dont stink. You have taken your given power in one of the best organization and used it in all of the wrong ways this year. You wanted a small school big school flag division and you got it. That has never happened before but since you have a son in flag now and you have the power it came to be and yes OF did win small school flag division!!! WOW is all i can say at this point about you. I'm not going to let people like you dictate where me amd my son play or whether i can coach or not. So with all that being said BMT SR team will be back to defend our SB Championship and beat you in your own game BOBCAT101. As for our President, if you son's team would have won the SB would you have been there. Or if your Father In Law's team would have won the SB would you have been there. I forgot thats the same team we lost to 1-0 so they could get a higher seed. I'm just saying!!!
How can you not present the trophies to the kids, you are the President!! You can make meetings to discipline the BMT coaches. You are a voted official in your community and you know whats right and whats wrong!!! When I was on the STJFL Board Big schools representatives handle big school issues not ever repesentative on the board. So i'm just wondering how BC can voice their oppinion about our program and than have a vote on our future. My teams have not ever played BC or OF so why are these two representatives have the red butt abour our organization. The one time we were suppose to play BC it rain and BC made us drive all the way there just to tell us it was cancelled. If we would not have shown up we would have lost the 1 -0. So who should be mad!!! I personally asked the scheduler not schedule BC or OF but we are the bad guys. So i'm asking the board to schedule the 4 SB junior teams. Just asking!! Through it all I still think we play in the best youth football league in the state of Texas. Good job BMT SR!!!!!!
