Ex. Dayton 4A D1 state champs and Crosby 4A D2 state champs. if what you are saying did happen.... 3 way tie for 2nd then a tie is rewarded....just means everyone of those finish 2nd.. ex. if BH beats SC and SC beats Dayton... then Dayton(7-1) and SC(7-1) are both co district champs with SC getting the one seed and Dayton getting 2 seed(head to head wins seeding if they have the highest 2 enrollments of the 4 teams in playoffs). now if there is a tie that will determine who will go to playoffs then it goes to head to head... if 3 way tie, head to head first, then points are the factor to see who goes... Here is what can happen as of today(I believe Humble plays tonight): Dayton in SC in Crosby = not in yet. they have to win 1 more or a Humble loss BH- not in yet. they have to win 1 more or a humble loss KP - has to win last game and hope Humble does not lose Humble - has to win out and win big to cover points CE king out Porter out NC out SC and Dayton are in.... they are the D1 schools unless KP gets in... who ever wins the last game will be the 1 seed and loser be 2 seed.. Playoffs for D2 are not final yet.. If Humble loses one more game it make Crosby and BH D2. A Humble loss will eliminate KP as well... they could have a tie with Crosby and BH.. but they lost to both so they would be out. I HAVE SEEN THE VIDEO and it was NOT a catch... it hit his hands and popped up by his face mask as he was going out of bounds then regained the catch out of bounds... led to 7 points on 3rd down. that was not the only missed call.. the punt clearly hits a full yard in front of the receiver and bounces back to a KP defender. . this should have gave the coogs the ball on the 50 yd line... yet gave to KP led to another TD for KP.. Crosby QB fumble in the red zone shows his knee down before the ball comes out....also on the first scoring drive by KP there was a fumble which the refs blew dead... not even close the QB was still going forward and standing when the ball popped out... Coogs recover... again... not making this up... I have seen the video.. So 21 of 21 of their points were off missed calls by the refs... Also at half 3 penalty on KP -10 on the coogs ... very one sided... I would never blame the refs for a loss.. but they were VERY bad.... I am glad the kids had the strength to overcome the adversity last night. good job coogs!!

Kirbyville went 3 rounds deep several times with 442 in 3A and to the state game twice in 2A with 332. but putting them in a district that has 1700-1800 kids is a big difference... maybe with UIL making 6 divisions would even thing up a bit.... Lets hope...  I get tired of seeing small schools get their tail whipped on friday nights...

I love it when the refs huddle together.... it mean they are tring to get the call right, taking from what everyone seen.... I can't stand it when they dont huddle... I was at a game a couple of weeks ago and the ref call ineligable man down field and the pass was thrown behind the line of scrimage..(a screen) 3 of the 4 refs said that it did not matter if the pass was behind the line of scrimage, lineman cant go more than 2 yards down field.... which is not true in high school football.... they did not huddle and one ref refused to huddle that knew the correct call... Refs have a hard job and they are the most important people on the field.... without them, we could not play the wonderful game that we love.  they are going to miss calls... it happens.... 5 watching 22 with coaches right in their ear... they do not have private agendas in their play calling....you may not like their call..... just except it... and be happy these people are taking the time and effort to make a difference... If you want to make that difference then join their organization.... I know they need the help...

Remember, Crosby had 481 yards in a losing effort against Dayton(328 in the first half), They just turned the ball over 3 times in the first half, 2 of those in the red zone.  If they dont turn it over, it would have been a close game... That is why everyone from Dayton on this site has said Crosby does have talent.. I expect a close game with SC.. if Crosby can hold on to the ball.
