Heard a Texas college D2 OC (with Texas HS head coaching experience) is one of the finalist. Haven't confirmed, just heard a rumor.

    Maybe?

Being a college coach doesn’t make you more qualified, in fact, it would make you less, in my opinion. It’s completely different. In this case, “qualified,” would be someone who has shown loyalty and understanding of this level of football and what it takes to succeed in this area at said school. It seems, from an external point of view, that they are overlooking someone who is a great guy, great football mind, loves the school/kids, and is respected, in order to go for a more “flashy” hire. This is a slippery slope, and not valuing loyalty can create a revolving door and constant losing seasons. Even if someone comes in and does well, it will make the job a stepping stone—no assistant will ever think they can get it. Their last hire wasn’t flashy at the time, he was a 4A d2 coordinator with no HC experience, yet it worked. It’s no secret he inherited the most talented group L-town has seen in awhile, but it begs to question why the change in attitude. Perhaps success has got to certain people’s heads. Very odd

True.  I really thought we might be seeing an upset coming.  But then it was like the Tigers said, "Okay, enough's enough."  And the Longhorns replied, "Right.  Never mind."  It felt that way in the arena too.  A kind of communal agreement on both sides, "Way to go Horns!  You pulled to within 5.  Great game."   And while there was still over 4 minutes to play.  Kind of anticlimactic.

I disagree with this wording. That implies the horns sort of gave up. The truth of the matter is they had 5 players, no bench help at all imo, appeared to give it everything they had, but silsbee made more plays, especially Harris at the end and Elam throughout. With no bench or true post, defeating the Tigers isn’t going to happen. It was a fun game and great effort but I wouldn’t imply that those 5 nor the staff “communally agreed” to give up. Harris just took over, which is what one would expect a Memphis commit to do in such settings.

Doe HF understand Silsbee gets another player back agreeing to Tuesday. A pretty good one at that. He'll probably see limited minutes off the bench at first, but a little extra firepower never hurts.

Are we supposed to know the answer to this question or is this rhetorical

  5. Whose offensive system would Raider fans want if, theoretically, you could get anyone from the area? I’m sure Lumberton could pay more than most if they really wanted to keep winning… but then again, a coach leaving to make a lateral move shows me that maybe they don’t really care that much. Or the admin/board doesn’t anyway. A lot of industry there to not be able to put $ on what they think matters!

Any Texas coach that won Titles out of state is considered.  But private schools don’t fit in my calculations.

I’m glad we get some more clarification 😂 the more you write, the more you prove to readers on here how you are so out of touch. You don’t realize you’re the site laughing board, but there’s no teaching old dogs new tricks, and I was mistaken to think I could help educate you. Football is football, Texas or Louisiana or Ohio, Tapps or UIL, high school or college; helping kids and changing lives also can make someone elite, and each story and town are different. It’s wild you can’t understand that, and I’ve seen firsthand how people have tried to show you but you stay stubborn—add me to the list. From our brief interaction, at least I can say I can walk away learning one thing:

Reagan is an idiot and you guys are right, it’s pretty comical. Keep doing you man. Enjoy life in your parents basement or whatever
