By that logic, the AD should coach every sport at that school. The previous AD was a boys coach at one time. As long as the sports have good coaches and the budget is managed well among the sports, what does it matter who the AD is?
From what I hear, there is groundswell support for a separate AD (this person has never played or coached football) and head football coach at Liberty. Liberty is bigger than Hardin but still falls under the "small school" criteria you posited. What then?
Anyway, Chad T has done a good job for us this past year as HFC and expect him to do well as AD.
I saw that on Facebook, from Hardin/Hull people. Quite a different culture in Liberty however. We’ll see where it goes.

I find it hard to believe that if there were several reasons, taking his talented athlete daughter to a better school and the extra visibility that comes with it played ZERO part in his decision as you suggest.
You're probably right. I should not have said it was not a factor. Let me re-word that. It wasn't in the "top 3" reasons why the move was necessary for him and his family during this time.

Anahuac 13
Eastchambers 3 final
and I know warren beat Hardin tonight. Not sure on the score, but they had a lot of players suspended so they pretty much had to send their jv from what I was told.
so anahuac and Hardin are now tied for 2nd at 5-3 and Kirbyville, kountze, and buna are tied for 4th at 4-4. A lot of baseball left. Buna and anahuac play on Friday.
All players from what I was told. The jv played Warren

BH is currently 5A Div 1 and knocking on the 6A Door. I read that Lackey has like 5 kids mostly daughters, so if they are Athletes BH would be the place to be.Girls athletes at BH are very strong and have always been so. Good news for BH on that front.
He has 6 kids. 4 girls and two boys. Regardless of what the "highsky" Hardin assistant coach says, he didn't "move to BH" for his oldest daughter. There were several reasons, but this wasn't one of them.

The previous AD has retired from AD duties, thus leading Hardin to name Taylor to be the new AD. Nothing more, nothing less.
Yep, long over-due but nevertheless, Hardin has a guy that can lead the boys program finally. Small school(s) like Hardin should not have an AD who does not coach football.

Just saw the video as well. Looks to me Hardin threw the first punch.
Did you need the video? I can send it to you. Kountze did something on a baseball field that I have never seen before in over 35 years. And then they tried to cry to the UIL about it. What a dirty program under dirty leadership.
-
Whats wrong with Kountze this year? Heard they lost their minds in the 7th inning and started fighting a Hardin base-runner between 1st and 2nd base?
I saw the video and I was left speechless. Anybody care to explain?

What's the right thing, MT?
I heard they made Chad the AD a few days ago.

That escalated quickly.

Congratulations to Chad Taylor AD/HFC at Hardin. Great job doing the right thing over there in Hardin.
-
how does this district end up? I like OF and Kountze to finish 1/2

Nice hire by Kirbyville.

Mine either, it's like a normal thing. I bet if FF was from this area though they would have an issue with it. 🤷🏾♂️
How does FF stack up against Silsbee? Do the Tigers have a chance to pull off the upset? @AggiesAreWe

East Chambers and Coldspring-Oakhurst are the two locks, I would assume.
Anahuac, Kirbyville and Orangefield would be the second wave.
Buna and Hardin would be bringing up the end, if I had to guess.
Disagree. EC will continue to slowly decline while Anahuac continues to rise, as Barrier checks back in and makes them DC capable immediately. The only thing EC will be good at within 3-5 years is the "other futbol". It's starting to look like Plum Grove over there.
Kirbyville nearly lost to Hardin (overtime) last year but I dont know what they return?
Surely Ofield will be somewhere near the top. Cold is always tough.
Hardin just does not have the athletes to compete at a high level, but I'd imagine they'll be tough under CT as long as he stays there.
Buna has a long way to go in my opinion.

Last time I took a crack at predicting this contest, Kountze let me down by a wide margin. I figure no way Duane lets me down again, so I'll be taking the 1991 HJ flying Hawks, by 10. (I mean Kountze by 10).

Dumas, did you watch the video or are you going off what somebody told you? Because, if you watched the video and that's your perception of what took place, you need to seek help. Kountze's trashy decision could cost those Hornets a 2 or 3 seed when its all said and done. As I stated previously, the action Kountze took on the field of play is something I have never seen in baseball in over 35 years. Absolute filth.
