  1. After watching OF(still stand on what I said about their previous teams being better) I think it will be a close game and agree on how the refs are will/could be a factor.
  2. They can, but I also agree 1 person shouldn't beat them. Mexia will have the best player on the floor and if its close that definitely helps.
  3. Congrats to Coach Whitmire and his team !!!! Nothing but respect to Coach, good luck the rest post season.
  4. I don't know, they could shoot it and offensively they could control tempo with good sets in the half court.
  5. 22-23 team had just dropped down from a tough 4A district so I think they were more equipped to play the slow down game with athletic teams. Offensively they were pretty polished and a bit more difficult to guard in the half court with the stuff they ran. This group I think is a bit more lose on offense which made it easier to guard them when Hitchcock played them 23-24 year.
  6. Agreed, only team that could be an issue is Mexia possibly. Like someone else said earlier just mostly have to stay out of their own way. In D2 both teams you mention are on a collision course. Looking forward catching a few playoff games for sure.
  7. Not taking anything away from this years team but I think the team Pete Regusa's senior(22-23) year was a little bit better. The window is open this year for OF to win the region though.
  8. They should've been D2 but a D1 team didn't make the post season which moved them up.
  9. That's not entirely true, and yes they aren't the same with #24 going during 🏈
  10. Was supposed to play a double header when Hitchcock girls traveled there at the end of December.
  11. Agreed with your take on the with warm up games. Honestly that style of play benefits Silsbee more imo, and I think Silsbee would win. There is a difference with shooting open/transition 3s and shooting them with somebody on you man to man. It would be a good playoff atmosphere type game with a great crowd which I think is great in the regular season.
  12. Ragusa(Orangefield) or Perrault(EC) should've been MVP that year and I'm leaning towards Perrault because they beat Orangefield twice and won the district that year. Newcomer should've been Scales(Orangefield). I'm not sure how EC didn't get anyone for a superlative, but I've seen some crazy stuff happen at district picks. I'm not sure how you have an MVP and NOY and don't make the post season.
  13. In 21-3A Diboll would be DI and Pollack Central DII
