We did not get the win tonight, but this has to be one of HF's best teams in school history, I am dang proud of our boys. I really think we will finish either 1 or 2 in district play now.

This team has to be concerning for Bear fans. They catch lightning in a bottle in year 1 with some Coach Crouch Holdovers, and then progressively get worse since. That BC game next week could be very interesting.

Is this a case of BC being significantly better, or The Bobcats being down? Ofield has handled BC with ease in recent history.

I apologize, no disrespect to the Trojans. All that was meant by that statement was that if the Panthers got blown out by Coldspring, the district will be extremely rough: WOS, Jasper, Silsbee, HF, probably even BC.

Good showing for the Bucs/ Kelly isnt good, but the offense was humming in this one.

How is that possible? I believe the UIL sets the numbers. Lets not ignore the fact that LCM is scrimmaging a significantly smaller school and not dominating. That should be a red flag for what is to come in district play.

I think historically you can always expect LCM to be a 4-6 or 5-5 type of club like the majority of high school teams across the state. Sure you have a special group every now and then, but that is not the norm in Mauriceville. I would expect about the same for the Bears this year, I have heard Huffman has a chance to compete for the 2 seed in this district so that would be very interesting.

I am not well versed in the softball world, but would this be considered a downgrade? BC has been good in softball lately correct? I wonder if the lack of snow cones at softball games had something to do with this.

Man how times have changed in Buna... Getting this fired for up a win over 1A/2A Evadale has to bother some of the good players of Buna's past.
