Some interesting cut and paste: 1. $870 for Direct Subsidies and Grants to Companies The Cato Institute estimates that the U.S. federal government spends $100 billion a year on corporate welfare. That's an average of $870 for each one of America's 115 million families. Cato notes that this includes "cash payments to farmers and research funds to high-tech companies, as well as indirect subsidies, such as funding for overseas promotion of specific U.S. products and industries...It does not include tax preferences or trade restrictions."

Well, there were the hundreds of billions given out in 2008 to stabilize banks and certain automobile corps. There's the billions given out to the agriculture giants like archer daniels midland. Every major city that has a pro sports team has to take it, in the form of paying for stadiums for the likes of jerry jones, or else do with out having a team. Then when giants like amazon look around for another headquarters, you can be sure you can be sure they are getting billions of tax cuts. It goes on and on..

My mind is just as closed as yours. If there was a win to this I'd go for it. Instead it goes around, and round, and round, and round, everyday ad nauseam.

Islam, apostate Christians they're both dangerous. They both have and will traffic in slavery. I've heard about what's going on in Libya. There was a modern prophetess who prophecied that slavery would be worse now, in the end times, than before the civil war, something like that.

you would dispute it if I did.

Corporate big dogs, like 45, game the government of billions every year.

Hard to say. Knee injuries can be tricky. Whether or not he's on the court Thursday will tell you something. -

Last year the football team lost early in the playoffs. By the time the Silsbee b-ball team played Wagner they were maybe 90% in sync. That won't be the same if they meet again this weekend. It usually takes more than a few days to make the transition from football to basketball. Opponents and others don't care though. As for Bush I hope his knee is alright. If he needs to rest it for later I'm okay with that too. Tournament games aren't the ones that really matter. -

If I read that Cy Fair tournament bracket correctly, If Silsbee gets past Klein Collins Thursday their next opponent will likely be...SA Wagner. -

I saw Wagner a week or so ago when they played Cy Falls. Yes, they are big and have elite guards. Silsbee playing with six against that team...it didn't match up in my mind. Still, you gotta lace em up and get on the court. Silsbee could probably play with any other team in that tourney, but not with the big dogs. -

Last year the football team lost relatively early. By the time they played SA Wagner Silsbee was playing good basketball. The result was a close loss. This is a different season. Sometimes when a 4A team plays in a 6A tournament they end up getting their hats handed to them. Just win reg 3 & go to state in 4A that's all. -
