  1. Ok, was wondering if Botley was still out.
  2. Are all starter’s available for both teams this week?
  3. This game has two teams that have really great traditions over the years. PNG knows they are facing a formidable foe, WOS knows that winning this one will go a long way restoring their place at the top. Kind of like David vs Goliath, but PNG should have too much depth and be able to wear down the Stangs. Hope both teams best of luck and an injury free game…..
  4. Sounds like Silsbee’s strength, their receivers, will have an advantage over Nederland’s defensive secondary. Not sure if bulldogs d-line can put enough pressure on QB to help out. Tigers need to be tested to get ready for their district games. I am picking the Tigers to finish pulling away in this one.
  5. Glad to see BC having a surprise season so far. But I think that LCM will be too much and reality strikes.
  6. Know they are ready to be back on the field. 🏈
  7. Playing two good teams to start the seasons highlighted the things team needed to improve on. Not so good for the w-l record. Week 2 definitely had improvements from week 1. Week 3 needs to be more improvements. Should be getting some players back next couple of weeks so that will help depth wise.
  8. Nac went thru a coaching change and beat Palestine in their first game. Lumberton is due, I think they find a way to win this one.
  9. A win would have been nice. Raiders improved on several things from last week. OL looked much improved. Qb and receivers looked in sync most of night, appeared to be couple of td’s not caught in end zone. Cleaned up penalties. Raider DL flushed the QB out of pocket several times; but this proved to be St Thomas ‘s biggest play. QB was really quick and accurate on the move. Defense would start reacting to him running, DB’s would lose contact and he would hit receiver for big play. Lots of hard knock lessons, another week to practice.
  10. Raiders have had a week to work on things and get ready for match up with St Thomas. Go Raiders, play hard.
  11. With this being one of those true rivalry game the teams will have a lot of emotions going. HF will have the emotion and a well balanced offense and defense to add another win.
  12. I am not just talking about your comments on the Lumberton you seem to have issues with Nederland school also and some others. I agree through “the truth hurts”.
  13. I bet you two are the life of the party, the ones everyone love to be around…. Yea right…And you both have made some good post on schools but just cannot help yourselves. Both must have been div1 All American?
  14. Silsbee should be in control of this game from start to finish. But the Tigers need to stay focused and not take any team for granted.
  15. Last year I felt like the Raiders were caught off guard when they played St Thomas, so this year they know they have to come out playing hard. Last weeks game allowed them to see the things they have to improve on. So Raiders work hard.
  16. Nothing wrong with this matchup. Most coaches like to have games against teams that will help them get ready for district and playoffs. And it it harder than a lot of people think for coaches to find teams to play with having to travel long distances.
  17. Ward was missed for sure but blocks have got to still happen. Kersh has been Powell’s go to connection ever since jr high, so that was missed. The receivers Reyes, Breeden,Bourque, and Rhodes are proving that they will haul in a pass in traffic so that is looking good. I think our defense will get stronger. Had some good hits and big plays. As play recognition gets better, will cut down on big plays happening.
  18. Was trying to be optimistic, knew they would be missed. Still have lots that can be improved on, the penalties, missed blocks, etc.
  19. HF has a good team: was impressed by their offensive and defensive lines. Lumberton still has some things to work on, this HF game was a good lesson for them.
  20. Nothing to be mad about, lost to a good team.
  21. I also am not sure I understand the question. But I think if you look at the fan bases that travel good to away games that is a gage in community interest. PNG is on a different level than most. Silsbee has a good fan base. WOS if they make deep run. Lumberton has begun to travel good. Nederland will pack the house if they are winning. Jasper quick to pick up a crowd. More people interested in a school will result in more forum chatter. When Vidor gets on a win streak and it goes thru the roof.
  22. Sounds like we should have a good ballgame and both teams will benefit from it.
  23. 😁/I think Kersh has been banged up, all the other receivers seemed good to go. Ward has been nursing a hamstring; other rb who made some good runs late last year, looked good last scrimmage. I heard Yarbrough was expected to play Friday; Waterboy has quality H2O ready to go for Friday night. Now this is like Fox News/ unreliable sources but sounds good….
  24. Both Lum &HF are big enough schools that they should be able to absorb a couple of different starters being unable to play; Some will have more impact than others; How about HF, haven’t heard much about player status for them.
