That's what I was alluding to earlier in the coaches thread. WF will take some of their students. I say its very likely NC drops. I don't know if it impacts Porter or not. I think they all end up 5A's soon, kind of like the Baytown schools.
You are correct West Fork will pull students from both New Caney and Porter. As for next alignment- New Caney will probably be 6A and Porter will be 5A. New Caney has an extremely large Freshmen class (over 700) and Sophomore class (over 600). With rezoning- they will definitely drop in the 24-26 realignment.

New Caney HS named Mike DeWitt as their new coach today. DeWitt previously was head coach at Coppell with a record of 54-35.

Online sales are roughly even for both schools. There is about 3000 tickets left for the home side and 3000 left for the visitors.
Also- the schools decided to only accept District 21-6A passes. The THSCA pass will not work.

The way that's written is confusing...
Either you said A. Points tiebreaker will be used to rank final 3 teams and only if the points total were equal between two teams would they use head to head.
or
B. You are saying that three way tie is decided by the point differential and then the last two teams are determined by head to head.
I think you mean A but the way that's written its hard to tell.
Sorry for the confusion. Using your A or B example. It is example A.

No they wouldn’t be. Porter would have a 5-3 district record just like Crosby and finish 4th due to a head to head loss since BH would already be eliminated.
I confirmed with our AD. The district coaches elected to use points as a tiebreaker all the way through. He told me head to head only would come into play if two teams were tied after the points tiebreaker.
So BH vs Porter will be interesting.

Glad someone could explain this properly. Your assumption is also correct that Porter only needs to win by three points to get into the playoffs, at which point Crosby moves into 3rd place and plays Lancaster in bi-district. BH can still finish 2nd with a KP loss and a win over Porter or completely miss the playoffs with a loss to Porter by 3 points or more.
Also- If Porter beats BH by 10- Porter is 3rd seed and Crosby is 4th seed.
