  1. No doubt BH will be 6A. It was just a matter of "when". MB is a thriving, growing community and BH is considered to be a destination school with top notch academics. I don't see MB population ever being stagnate, or even declining like some others are experiencing.
  2. Phenomenal year Hardin!! I caught the first half of your game at Anahuac. You guys are on a mission. You coach should be COY. Best luck in the playoffs!
  3. I agree. That's the danger of runaway hype, and the sad influence of Daddy Ball. Good thing is, Wells still has a chance to extend BH's season, and he will be ready to go for next season. I never wanted to say this, but I always believed with Wells starting the whole year, BH never loses to Sterling, and BH would already be locked in as the 2nd seed. Wells is a competitor.
  4. That's a big game. Gonna be tough for HF.
  5. Hardin's a different animal. Congrats Hardin undefeated District Champs!
  6. I saw UT at Kentucky two weeks ago in Lexington. Got excellent seats, 45 yard line, lower rows of the 2nd deck. They were reduced from $110 to $55 on StubHub.
  7. Anyone have any intel on Angleton?
  8. Absolutely no idea. I don't follow all the rest much, until the seedings and playoffs arrive. All I know is region 3 is strong, and the local district teams have not won a first round playoff game in a few years. I think Hardin can at least get a playoff win. Physicality will matter. Whatever the case I am happy for Hardin.
  9. Hardin's going to win out. Too physical for this district!
  10. BH (39-5) vs Angleton (16-14) at 6pm Thursday at Dobie HS.
  11. If you listen to Holton Pepper on TV, it sounds like OF is the team without much of a chance on Friday. He said 3A all goes through EC, and he didn't even mention undefeated, state ranked (likely) District Champ Hardin. LOL
  12. I attended the game. Well, just over half of it. Hardin steamrolled Anahuac with ease. Hardin made 5-10 yards on most plays. Anahuac was pretty helpless. Hardin has to be one of the most physical local 3A teams in years. Hardin fans packed out their side. Give that coach a raise, Hardin. Your team plays with great intensity every single play.
  13. BH has won the District at least the past 5 years, maybe more.
  14. At this point PAM appears to be the only real threat to make a deep run coming out of our district. Teams 2-4, whoever they end up being, probably won't last very long.
  15. 1 BH 13-0 2 PN-G 11-2 3 WB 9-4 4 NED 7-5 5 RSS 2-8 6 BU 1-8 7 Lee 1-8 8 PAM 0-9 I THINK.
  16. 13-0 headed into final district game vs. 7-5 Ned.
  17. No one has claimed he hasn't had his moments. He has, and sometimes he shines. That said, you have to look at the impact (if any) on teams W-L records, district seedings, and playoff runs. BH is 1-2 in district, 6th place, and fighting for their life right now.
  18. Now even just responding to you is hurting your feeling. Gogo grow a pair.
  19. I was not there, I just shared an OPINION. That's how message boards work. I have zero "excuses" to make.
  20. I imagine Hardin was a bit hungover from the blowout road win they got last week. Hope they are refocused now. Go Hardin, seal the deal.
  21. He was never "all world". Poor kid was hyped to the skies as an 8th grader at 3A Hardin mostly by his family. I saw his mom literally scurry up to Todd Dodge at AT&T and gush about him while he was a freshman at Anahuac, while Todd nodded kindly and almost missed the elevator he was waiting on to let her finish talking. Some poster here said back then he could start at North Shore QB as a Freshman... and the hype never ended. As a FR at Anahuac he did OK, but they won only one playoff game. Soph at 4A Rusk he did nothing, 4th place and blown out first round. As a JR at Anahuac he was injured but gamely played on, and Anahuac ended up 5th. If you can't elevate a 3A or 4A team, no one in their right mind would expect he was going to excel in 5A-I, except those closest to him. NONE of this is his fault. He is just a good kid wanting to play ball, put in unfortunate situations by others. I feel bad for him. Its now too late in some respects. I hope the public will not vent on him. Let him finish out HS career in peace. NONE of this is his fault. JM2C.
