  1. Wow, sound like the Lumberton White/BC game was d-battle or weather issue.
  2. I heard Lumberton White Sr lost to BC Sr 14-0, confirmation?????
  3. You are 100% correct. The only reason Super Series has been dorment in the area and hte Houston are because USSSA threatened all the tourney directors with WS hosting. Now that Texas (75% of USSSA) went to mostly hosting Nations, Super Series will be working back into the areas. Nothing wrong with SS, cheaper. Aslo the points with USSSA is carrot, means nothing unless your are playing a national sanctioned tournament. State and weekend tourney are power ranking. USSSA has ran its course.
  4. The cannot do that, it is not their call. Even so, the MPR is effect. I know it is har especially when you are trying to competetive. Bottom line, the rule was not ocmplied with, WOS did not do it on purpose. One last point, which was made but I will say it in a different way. The question comes up now and then' why does youth football play 10 minute qtrs when middle school plays 8, it is because ofthe MPR, middle school does not have to play everyone, the youth league does.
  5. Take donations, $25 to $35 per game to have a ref do each game.
  6. Why were yall running the clock? The clock should never run unless it is agreed by both coaches and an STJFL board member. This usually done with a large lead and the game at hand.
  7. Dont blame the opposing kids and coaches for the mistake. It is a rule, just like baseball, 1 at bats and 3 outs in the field. Like any other youth sport, the adult are responsible to have the papaer work in order. It is a rule, thats it. I hope when you talk to your team that you tell them that yall made the mistake, we have rules that must follow. That would be a good lesson. I ma not asyiong you guys are bad and intentional did the wrong thing. Just a good lesson and move and do what WOS does best play with class.
  8. it was, not sure about now, but end of the 3rd qtr is required. Halftime is not, but some do just to double check
  9. I thought it was a gentlemans agreement at the beginning of the game. If you keep your own MPR sheet, you could "produce" anything you wanted. If I recall, the few times it was an issue, the opposite team kept the MPR on the other team. Am I wrong here? Unless it has changed since last year, both coaches meet prior to the game, they give an MPR sheet of there players to the opposing team. The coach has an option to sign it waiving his right then returns it to the coach. Thats what you maybe thinking about. But, it is manadatory that the coachi keeps his own even though the opposing team may waive their right. At the end of the game, the coaches meet again and sign each other MPR. If a coach does not have on to sign, it is a forfiet.
  10. There is not such things as a request the MPR sheet. It is mandatory that each coach keep his MPR. The opposing team is optional. So no paper work, forfiet.
  11. Our coaching staff know for sure we could have reach the century mark in a game or two but we didn't. If that would've happen we would been ban for the STJFL. We just hope no one reach a 100 on us. . What i notice about other teams is that when they score a td on us its like they won the superbowl. :-X :-X. But when other teams score a td on us we or upset. :'( :'(. That's the differnce between us and them. Next week we have a bye. So the week after the bye we will tell our kids to score only 28 points so we can keep everybody happy. ;). Then we gone tell them to let the other team score 14 points . ??? Then the running up the score card won't be issue. ??? ??? Abviously you missed the point by some. Do you think your team is the only one that pitches shutouts and scores over 30, 40 points? NO! Just move on. 90% of the post have been understanding. I think you play the game by the rules. You said yall played by the rules, thats it move on. It does not matter who post, just be careful what you say, thats it. Good luck, play hard. By the way I have seen a lot favorites get knocked off early
  12. TD & WOS 98, WOS is a class organization. I know a lot people over there. I think what got everything going is the comment about how many points were scored and was 17 points more. Most everyone knows you can make a changed n the backfield and run lineman etc. Just the fact someone from WOS seemed to bragging. I know he was rubbing it in as joke, but people dont take it that way.
  13. We played in the league for a couple of years and unless it changed from the new revised MPR rule, the MPR must be kept by the opposing team to enfoorce a forfiet. The opposing team also has the option to waive keeping the MPR. If they waive it, there is not protest. The way it was last year, if MPR is kept by the opposing team and the team in violation must forfiet. so I guess PNG kept the MPR for WOS and they did not get the players in. So I believe the board does not have to review it, both vcoaches sign the sheet at the nd of the game.
  14. The head coach is responsible for every player to play 10 plays, if they do not they have to forfiet. So I guess WOS did not play some of the players. Its a shame but that is what the league is about kids getting to play
  15. Remember to win with class and lose with class... the comment about "fair game" because of last year sounds classless
  16. When we were in the league they drew out of a hat at the STJFL board meeting.
  17. Looks like WOS took a whoop'n from Lumberton White... New prediction Lumberton White Nederland Black Lumberton Blue Bridge City WOS on the edge
  18. I say no advantage. Different kids, different coaches. Even good scouting, kids are kids still have to play.
  19. I think you took it wrong, it was a statement for all posters and dont look to far ahead.
  20. not sure your point or what you are saying. Can please explain?
  21. Getting there is one thing, winning it all is another. L-train 0-3 last year. Would not look to far ahead
  22. I know the Sr division has been quiet all season. I think it was a fluke Lumberton beating WOS as bad as the score. They may beat them again but I bet the score is a lot closer. It looks like Both Lumberton's, Nederland Black and WOS are the front runners, and BC in the mix. Prediction, they all win this weekend
  23. It is still too early talking about a team not being stopped. The history of the STJFL speaks for itself.
