Purple eagle, I certainly hope you are right for next season and I have always supported the team. The post has nothing to do with supporting the team, I am simply stating facts from the past 2 seasons
They were 2-8 last season and this season they will improve to 4-7. This is an improvement, even though a small one from last season
I am not going to be Mr Rah Rah just for the heck of it, I am going to post the facts, and yes TC will win by 14 or more and Lake Creek will win by more than that
I would love for the Dogs to be as good as PNG, but they are not these past 2 seasons

PAM gets Forbes probably 1 and done
-
I will agree with Brubaker that the Bulldogs have improved a little from last year
Theu will finish 4-7 this season. There 4 wins are all against teams with losing records. What have we discovered this season:
#1 WOS is not very good this year and the Dogs gave up 40 to them due to the defense shutting it down in the 4th quarter
#2 PAM destroyed the Dogs and we found out last night that they are not near as good as they thought they were and May not get past the second round
#3 Dayton which I and most posters thought would be much improved is not good. The Dogs won but game up 30 and Willowridge kicked them last night
#4 FBM not even close to as good as the past few seasons and I look for them to get beat in first round
#5 The only 2 good teams in district this year are PNG and TC
So with that, I am glad the Dogs improved to 4 wins and made the playoffs this season, I am not sure they are very competitive yet
I do believe the offense has improved, although they threw 4 picks last night, the defense and special teams are unfortunately very weak
-
Certainly have to congratulate Lumberton the past 2 seasons. I think they would be competitive in many districts these past 2 seasons. Appears they will either face Palestine or Athens in Bi-district
-
TC wins probably by 14 or more. Nederland’s defense is poor. Nederland 2-8 last season and 4-7 this season which is a little improvement IMO offense a B, defense a D, and special teams and coaching an F
-
You may have read my post but you didn’t hear anything Please don’t be sour because the Bulldogs have not been good these past 2 years. It simply is a result of poor coaching
-
I also said PNG scoring 35-42 and Nederland scoring 7-14 I missed Nederland by 2
-
No I said either 2-8 or 3-7 because I missed Dayton game. I did not realize at the time how weak Dayton was going to be, so yes my 3-7 turned to 4-6 and 4-7 after the bi- district loss I will say I missed my initial prediction by 1 game the 2-8 prediction was based on if they lost to SF and the 3-7 was if they beat SF
looks like you may have misread my post
-
PAM just thought they were going to be district champs
-
I told everyone on this site that Nederland had finished playing the weak sisters and would finish 4-3 district and 4-7 after they get hammered in bi-district
You simply need to pay attention to my posts because they 98 or 99 percent accurate
-
Both coaches have to agree on officials So they get the crew they agreed on
If they can’t agree the crew is selected by the UIL
cant blame the game on officials, PNG is just a much better team
-
It is definitely a combination of quality coaching and having good athletes in most cases
I have seen some teams do well year in and year out with average talent. Examples East Chambers and Orangefield Both schools have very good coaching
I have also seen teams do very well with Larry’s and Joe’s, who overcome weak coaching. Examples PAM and FBM
I also have seen teams do well with good coaching and good players who are smart and make few mistakes Examples Alamo Heights, Alexis, SLC, Austin Westlake
I have also seen teams with supposedly very good talent, be extremely poor so to bad coaching and players that are not very intelligent Example Dallas Cowboys
In conclusion you need good coaching, good players, and an excellent system to be successful
-
Nederland has beaten all the weak sisters they played this season with the exception being WOS when the defense shut it down in the 4th quarter. The weak sisters are done and now they finish with good teams, so I believe these next 3 games will have a very similar outcome as the Silsbee and PAM games where it wasn’t even close

Great job by Rangers 11 runs on 15 hits
Astros 4 runs on 12 hits 2 of the 4 were HR’s
ahows what a poor job of hitting with risp
big difference tonight Rangers pitching staff for the most part stayed ahead in the count and Astros pitching staff stayed behind in count
-
Off season. These 3 Astros pitchers either need to go back to triple A or be traded
Fransis, Montero, Stanek
Pena is a good SS but can’t hit, I would start Dubon who can hit at SS
The other guy that is overrated is McCormick
average OF’er but can’t hit
-
-
-
Hard to win when you struggle hitting with men on base. Poor at bats with bases loaded by Dubon and the pinch hitter Singletary
I question Baker on starting Valdez who has been miserable his last 3 starts and if I was GM Montero and Stanek would be gone as soon as off season begins. Those 2 have been bad all season
Tucker and Peña have had an awful series at the plate
I thought it might go 7 games
-
If PAM keeps playing defense the way they are BH has a good chance to win
-
Another nice win that was expected now 4-4 and 4-1 in district playoffs this season
-
This year PNG in a blow out
- CS., NDNWarrior and NedPA
- 2
- 1
-
PNG will win by about 21. Nederland’s defense and special teams are simply poor
-
I understand what you are saying however Tic Price’s teams were more competitive than Brooks teams have been. Hopefully they will be better this year

Lumberton has some very good assistant coaches and just about everyone of them I have talked to does not like the HC and would love to see him leave. They say he is not a good AD and his football knowledge is weak
They are winning because of the assistant coaches and talent
