  1. Last year wasn't bad at all. I don't expect we should totally get away from what we did last year. But some things could be done better and hopefully that's what we'll be working towards this upcoming year
  2. Everyone can't do what Franklin does. Different teams have different constructs. A balanced approach is probably best for Woodville. And it helps to be able to tweak it a little bit depending on the opponents strengths and weaknesses. We have players that can hurt you in different ways and we need a coach who realizes that and knows how to utilize it
  3. Hodges from Shiro?
  4. Sutherland? Neece?
  5. Game really would have been closer if it wasn't for a couple breakdowns on special teams coverage. There wasn't as big of a talent gap as people are trying to make it seem.
  6. Woodville has plenty more great seasons to come. Hopefully we'll get another look at Gunter in the upcoming years
  7. Your definitely right. I don't know what's going on through the headsets at all. But it looked like we basically had the same gameplan throughout the year regardless of who we were playing. Only thing that changed in the playoffs was Tay started getting more touches and by the time we got to Arlington, Gunter had plenty film on him.
  8. A couple offensive adjustments probably would have got us a score or 2. Those scores might have shifted the momentum of the game. That's what shifted the momentum the game before except it was a defensive score
  9. Your talking about Luke?
  10. Yea we can definitely use a more offensive minded coach but we still want to make sure we don't get away from the toughness and things like that which Coach Rob helped instill which contributed to becoming a winning program
  11. Obviously. But I think it might work out better for our program and for him over at Crawford as well. He's been great for our program but it's probably just time to part ways
  12. You might have to be aware of what we got coming up at Woodville to understand where I'm coming from
  13. Interesting. Late in the 3rd quarter with zero on the scoreboard in the state game you should be willing to make some adjustments
  14. There's probably many different variables but the main reason I've heard is family and location. Or maybe Rob agrees with LionPride who thinks it's a step up. Who knows
  15. I think there's probably some better options out there than him but if you're right I think I'd probably rather just keep it in house at least temporarily for now
  16. I'm sure Rob will do a good job over there but yep that's probably what he has in mind 🤣 That's the style he likes to coach and might be part of the reason he wanted to go there
  17. Yea Crawford is "historically" a really good "2A" program but they're 9-14 and haven't made it past the 2nd round in "2A" playoffs the last 2 years. That's not a step up.
  18. I would assume they should be unless they know something I don't
  19. His resume is no good plus he left after only 2 seasons last time. That's not what we need
  20. I don't know what for
  21. I'm sure there will be at least a couple guys off the coaching staff that stay. Rob may take a couple with him though. Anxious to see the options we're looking at
  22. Pretty sure he could have left for a school like Crawford a long time ago if he wanted to that bad
  23. Thankful for everything Coach Rob has done for the program but also looking forward to finding out who's next. School board hasn't been the best at selecting quality coaching in the past but I'm hoping they get it right this time. Hopefully the kids don't get too distracted and keep grinding. Transitions can be difficult at times
  24. Congrats to both winners and good luck on future endeavors
  25. Hopefully the all new O Line turns out to be solid and Luke and the receivers get some good work in 7 on 7 this spring
