Loser of this game might possibly face Daingerfield in the 1st round of the playoffs depending on how district 11 plays out. Daingerfield hasn't been that great up to this point this year but that's still not a team you want to face first round if you can help it

Play calling by coaches will be huge. And players must execute and limit turnovers. Gonna have to be able to score quickly on big plays as well as sustain long drives 3 or 4 yards at a time.

Huge game. Eagles will have to battle it out every play for 4 quarters to pull this one off. Special teams could be big in this one also. That's where I think Woodville could have their biggest advantage if we can stop Newton from converting the majority of their 2point conversions.

Yea you have to utilize what you have. And OF is a good team with a couple athletes as good as anybody. Manning being the first that comes to mind. I really didn't think OF Oline would be able to hold Anahuac's defensive front off though

From the 2 quarters of the game that I caught it looked like they weren't using him enough on offense. On defense they had him dropping back in coverage instead of blitzing the edges. He probably caused 3 or 4 of the 6 turnovers against Woodville blitzing the edges and pressuring the QB.

Well if it was racially motivated, maybe so. I don't think this incident was racially motivated. It's a group of classless kids who felt like it was OK to be disrespectful to a lesser team after a non competitive game. Everyone involved needs to be suspended and whatever else but let's not use this to try to paint false narratives

Considering strength of schedule, I agree Anahuac probably has the better defense. LSA is definitely better offensively than any team EC has faced but I'm not sure they're better than Rice overall.

Goodness. I definitely thought Shiro was better than this

Shiro's a decent team but they haven't been challenged much. Shepherd's the best team they've played and it looks like they were exposed defensively against Shepherd. Offensively Shiro is very good up front and I think they have a speedy back as well as a speedy QB. Newton's defense looks a little suspect but that's partially because they've played some really good teams. I think Newton wins this one fairly easily but it might be a little closer than years past. I predict Newton will score 36 or more and Shiro will score 22 or less.

Navasota's not that bad and they always play Madisonville close. Even a couple years back when Navasota missed the playoffs and Madisonville ended up losing to Silsbee in the 3rd round

Woodville seems like slight favorites on paper until you consider how Diboll lost to Madisonville by one point and Madisonville lost to Malakoff by one point. Should be a good test for Woodville. Hope the eagles can pull it off.
