If that happens we started our 2nd string lol. This will be 50-6 or worse, clock running in 2nd half.
Y'all better watch out, y'all played the Dale horrible and those Jasper and Newton transfers Burkeville got were approved last week.

Stop and eat at Jenny’s Fried Chicken in Kirbyville. We are away in EC Friday so it shouldn’t be that crowded
I'll second this, great fried chicken.

No doubt about it, this will be a hard fought game!
The boys always play y'all hard. Hopefully that'll keep it close. Rebuilding years suck!

I just hope the Rebels can live with playing at home after getting to play on "the best grass field in America" last week. 🤣

Pirates probably have it this year...but I'll take the Dale in a close one.

Timing Adjustments—ARTICLE 2
Approved Ruling 3-2-2
I. At halftime the score is 56-0. The coaches and the referee agree that the third and fourth quarters should be shortened to 12 minutes each. The coaches also request that the second half be played with a “running clock,” i.e., that the game clock not be stopped. RULING: The remaining quarters may be shortened to 12 minutes each. However, the “running clock” is not allowed; normal clock rules apply for the entire game.
this rule is pretty cut and dry
How do you shorten a 12 minute quarter to 12 minutes?

Crazy defensive battle I guess...

How did Ball score twice?

My nephew went to the game, said both teams are down this year. He told me the Rebels had at least 10 turnovers and they still should've won the game. One completely blown coverage and a reverse that the D-End bit on was the difference in the game. The Rebels are also missing kids because of COVID protocols and haven't played in 2 weeks.
And if that's all true, both teams are really down this year.
Congrats on the win HD, but after the performance last night, I think both teams might need to worry about Burkeville.

Go Tigers!

Most of posts on this thread didn't age well.
Poor Rebels probably would have won if they hadn't been over awed by that field...

Heck yeah go Cats!

I saw the team before football ended, at a thanksgiving showcase. They didn't look too good. I saw them again on tv stream in the playoffs. They looked better. That was a down year, compared to the last 4 or 5 seasons before. Hopefully the big guy from Waxahachie Life is gone. I know some folks in Wax that know him, but they don't follow basketball that hard. I ran into the coach @ BT Washington the other day.. I was coming out of Esther's cajun cafe. Soul Food. But that is another story. He and other folks in H Town are expecting Silsbee to put it together in a year or so as well. Time will tell.
That's good food.

I figure the Rebels are the true winners no matter what the score is this week. They get to play on the "best grass field in America", heck they'll probably tell they're grandchildren about it. What a privilege. 😂

Or maybe they just don't know what they're talking about. Burkeville beat Sabine Pass on Monday.
Dave's is pretty accurate for up around Dallas and for the big schools. Everywhere else they're just guessing.

Believe it or not, I wouldn't consider Silsbee that talented last year. We were mainly two kids surround by freshman and an ever changing roster. Not to mention very little in the size department.
That all starts to change this year though. Future problems for Coach Sigler may be finding playing time for everyone in the years to come.
This year will be transitional. I wouldn't expect the world from this bunch yet, but also wouldn't be surprised if they pull off a few upsets either.
I agree with this 100%

I never liked the running clock. Do both teams have to agree to that? Non starters need the reps.
Yes both teams have to agree.
