Half-time show was terrible. Leave race and the politics out and put on a good show. I hope the same performers are not in the next Super Bowl show.

I think we will find out by the end of the current school year if not sooner. It's just AD/HC Nations first day on the job.

Congratulations to these three, they are very deserving of the honor. I attended a couple of the playoff games the last two years and of course the games against Dayton. A lot of good players in Crosby lately.

Who was the Defensive Coordinator for Dayton last year? The program listed Hancock as the Head Coach and all the remaining coaches were not listed as to what responsibility they had.

The Hill looked very good last night with all players getting a lot of playing time. The Soph phenom is looking better and stronger with each outing and is getting strong play and support from all the other players. A warm-up game with a top team would probably benefit them before getting into the playoffs. Next couple of years look promising for them.

I am sure many in Dayton are waiting to see who will be on Nation's staff and in what capacity.

Since no official announcement has been made by the district, I don't think the list of applicants would have already been released. The Dayton job should have generated considerable interest, and I too would love to see who applied.    

Will the list of applicants be made public?

Barbers Hill is young and should get better with more experience. They appear to be missing Philips, who is at Baytown Lee this year.

Hate to hear Phillips is no longer with Barbers Hill. She is a very talented all-around player that could have taken a lot of pressure away from Collier.

Thanks for the explanation. You have made some good observations and points. No one should be satisfied with mediocrity in any aspect of life, sports programs included. As you stated, local economy and industry  play a major factor in what can logically be done. School boards are responsible to the citizens and their children in their district to try to provide them with a quality education and that takes precedence. I hope that where more can be done to provide all the things you have mentioned that makes some programs successful on a consistent basis, will be done in the future.

You just seem more adamant than most. That's why I spend so much time on HD threads.

I am curious. What mindset of SETX thinking needs to be be changed and what have you seen in your travels across the state that inspired this need to change the mindset of SETX thinking you speak of?

You never know, HD and PA Memorial may both make the playoffs in 2015.

Rudder shot lights out and BH shot poorly. Worst I've seen BH play all season. They did not take care of the ball. BH had a great season and should be back strong next year! Congratulations on a great year!

Why was the Booster Club for Bronco football done away with as stated in an earlier post and what was the reason none of the Seniors were offered a scholarship? If there is trouble in Dayton, the Buck stops at the top and should be addressed as soon as possible.
