I have read the thread and I don't see where anyone is being bashed. What are you referring to?

Was Reyes on the sideline Friday night? And why didn't Gamal start or get many touches?

I don't really care about which Bronco team had the best secondary at this point. The defense this year needs work in all areas, although the secondary does look pretty good. The tackling in the first half was atrocious. The defense stepped it up in the second half and played much better. Our opponents are not going to lay down just because they are playing the Broncos. If their are character issues on this team, they better get addressed quickly. There are many good teams out there that are hungry for success and would love to humble the Broncos. I fully support the Broncos but the time has come for commitment to be the best they can be to happen.

Enjoyed your post BH Fan. Very informative and I'm sure it helped someone.

Congratulations to the Barbers Hill Eagles! The Dayton Broncos were both outplayed and out coached. We could not stop the runs to the outside.
Great tackling by the Eagles. The Broncos just need to go back to work and take care of the rest of the season. We have some good young men who can get the job done! -
I like the way the Broncos are encouraging and congratulating each other. They seem to be coming together as a team with good chemistry. Fine tune the running game and the run defense and you will be ready for the many good teams to come your way in the playoffs. Go Broncos!

The light, it hurts my eyes!

Elkins still has Mathews sp? (D1) at center so it may be hard to pressure their QB Burkhalter (same as last Year). The Broncos will have to come out with fire in their bellies to hang with this very good 5-A team. As always, I'm with the Broncos!

Bronco defense was porous and looks to need some leadership. Maybe that will come as the season progresses. The offense looked pretty good and only ran a few basic plays. There were a few dropped passes that should have been caught and an obviously tired McBride was injured toward the end of the scrimmage. I hope he is ok! The Broncos are smaller than usual this year but should be ready to make another playoff run. Nederland has good size and should have a good year.

All the improvements being made at Eagle Stadium will be enjoyed by everyone who visits. Looks very nice and congratulations for making the stadium comfortable for everyone. I would love to see a one-two finish in district with Dayton winning the district and BH second. Whoever draws Livingston will have a very tough game. Also, if I'm not mistaken, Bobby Steck of BH and Lawrence Eaglin from Hull-Daisetta had some very good duels in track.

The key to any success the Broncos have this year will be how the offensive and defensive line responds to graduation losses. I thought the offensive line was handled by La Marque last year and will have to get better to keep the defense from getting worn down. We should be loaded at the skill positions. Go Broncos!

Does anybody know if Jakari will be able to come back at full speed by the start of the season? There are many holes to fill from graduation. Best of luck to the Broncos and the new head coach!

Nothing is posted on the Dayton Broncos track team website about the results of the Bronco Relays.

Congratulations Matthew! Hard work and dedication pays off.

Barbers Hill in a close one.
-
If the refs let Huntsville play as physical as they did against Dayton, they will be very hard to beat. Their press is very tenacious!
-
Gene Walker and Edward Taylor to name two!
-
Congratulations to Coach Stewart for all the success he had in turning Bronco Football around and developing a respected and winning program that all of Dayton can be proud of! Best of luck to him, his family, and to his successor.

I was at the game last year when Shannon Evans hurt her knee and it's good to see her back playing basketball after such a major injury. Nice turn-around 3 pointer last night. Maybe she should shoot more. Good over-all talent.

I watched the BH/Dayton girls game last night and was surprised at the mistakes BH was making. The last game I saw was against Ozen and they seemed to be playing at a higher level. Not to sure about the lack of dribbling the ball up the court by BH, but I'm just a fan and not a coach. The Dayton girls came out strong and hustled the entire game. Good luck to both teams in the playoffs!

Very exciting game! Congratulations to both teams. Only downer was some of the Ozen fans inappropriate comments and behavior.
Ozen fans may have been inappropriate when it should have been ozen's coach. the officiating was horrible in this game. It is time for someone to address BH getting officials that live in BH. It was obvious when the official called a time out for BH when the ball was clearly in the air and about to be stolen by a ozen defender. this is not fair to the kids.
I don't know if any of the officials that worked the BH/Ozen game were from BH. Do you? I saw calls that could have been made against both teams but over-all IMO it was a well called game. The officials are human and may make mistakes, but I sincerely doubt any of them lack the integrity to do the best they can without being biased toward any team, nor do I think any school officials would try to influence the refs to call in their favor. It is usually the losing team's fans that find fault with the officiating. Ozen played well enough to win and has a good team. Any coach that acts inappropriately is not going to positively affect his/her teams chances to win. I'm not from BH, but all the crying about the officials is ridiculous. -

I agree with Brenham Fan about respecting your opponent and not overlooking anyone. Looks like someone from Livingston is looking for locker room fodder! I am sure the Broncos and their coaching staff will be prepared as always and will take one game at a time.

I agree with the prior posts. I might add that there is no way a player of Jakari's caliber won't be missed, but this team still has all the parts necessary to be very successful. The potential of the passing game has yet to be realized and with our offensive line and the running game in the capable hands of Herrera, Xavier, and McBride, the Broncos future is very bright. Don't throw into double coverage and find the open receiver. The defense is playing fantastic, although the secondary needs a little fine tuning. One game at a time and the sky is the limit!
WHATS WRONG WITH DAYTON???? I will tell you
