  1. I was sitting right behind him...I really enjoy having an unbiased opinion on games like that one. They tell like like they see it and hold nothing back. Your welcome back anytime pops. But he is lucky because his team was playing on saturdays, right? Oh, and I gotta go with Dayton in the win on this one.
  2. I would say your correct. He is only a Junior at that...should be ready to rattle a few things come his senior year.
  3. Just a heads up to those traveling, bring you a can of OFF. Mosquitos will eat you up after some of the wet weather.
  4. PNG is ranked #1 in the Beaumont Enterprise....ha. Im guessing there ranked that way because of their history and also the addition of the new coach. Probably playing favorites that's all. Time will tell if their as good and the ranking says.
  5. So are we now trying to turn this into a lumberton vs central thing? Cause that isn't where I was going with this at all. But whatever, twist it and toy with it however you'd like. How bout you just save me a seat and we can watch it together. ;D ;D
  6. Well it is no longer a secret so let's just get it out in the open so we are all aware. Speed wins over everything else, so if your team has a few players that possess this one of a kind attribute then go ahead and give your team the win. Nothing can overcome a team with a few speedy players, so the coaches with the slower teams can just hang it up and don't even bother trying to implement a game plan to stop the speedy teams.
  7. People please drop it with the speed kills quote. Im sure we have a few guys that are just as fast or faster than centrals top guy. We have played the speedy teams before and there are ways to overcome this. I see central and vidor being almost identical teams, and lumberton's D can hold them the same way we did vidor. Will be a really good game coming down to the final seconds I assure you.
  8. Im guessing your wanting to know which teams in 20-4A will make it. Well you have 8 teams in this district with only 4 advancing to the playoffs. The easiest way to think of it is the top 4 teams with the best district record will go to the playoffs. Where it always gets complicated is when you have a bunch teams tied with the same records.
  9. If needed the Train can win without Beard....Done it before against quality teams and can do it again!
  10. I agree with the 3 td's, and I will also say that Livingston will put up close to 500 yards rushing.
  11. actually looks pretty small compared with who will be pounding on him over and over and over. Oh no you just didn't!
  12. Thanks Soul Man we will keep that in mind! ;D What do you expect him to be....7'0 350lbs? Would that impress you? It isn't his size that people should focus on, it is the will to seek and destroy whoever has the ball, understanding his role in the defense, and his biggest role I have seen this year is taking on 2 or 3 blockers at a time. Any team in SETX would be proud to have a kid like this with the desire to be the best he can be and bring his teammates up to his level to play just as hard as he does.
  13. I thought Ivan Croak was a coach for vidor back in the day. I guess not.
  14. Im beginning to believe that Lumberton has the 'speed' this year. And you can bet your bottom dollar that every team in 20-4A will see it too!
  15. I don't see vidor's run game being much different from Livingston's run game, using multiple backs running it up the gut all night long. I believe that playing livingston before vidor will have our defense slightly more focused. Lumberton's offense will hopefully be on fire just as it was versus Livingston. This time the Raiders will have the homefield advantage! LR 35 VP 21
  16. I wish someone knew the time of possession for both teams. I know Livingston had the ball more than half of the game and more like closer to 3/4's of the game. Lumberton would get the ball and score quick pretty much keeping our D on the field the majority of the time. I think the raider's D did a great job considering the lions ran, ran, ran, ran and ran some more at us all night long. They had a few long bust, but Q. Jackson isn't that fast when we chased him down every time forcing them to earn their 7 points on the goaline. Although the Lions did play hardball and they do bring it, I think it will be a battle for them to get to the playoffs in 20-4A. Good Luck to both teams.
  17. No, 20-4A isnt the best. I wish I could say it was but it isnt. I still love my SETX football tho!
  18. Well, it's that time. Im gettin off early and headed to Livingston to watch the Raiders plow over the Lions!!
  19. Livingston has been in 4A for a while, just bounced around from 19-4A to 20-4A for a little while.
  20. I heard that even if you have a ticket, your still not garaunteed to get in.
  21. Im bringing the wire cutters......what fence? That hole was already there.
  22. That is kind of a high score prediction. I don't see it getting that high with 2 decent defenses on the field along with two teams that don't really pass alot.
  23. I got mine. This still sounds like some bologna tho! Just for that Im bringing two super sized train horns!! And what exactly is gonna catch on fire at a football game? The only thing I can think of the Raiders getting hot tommorrow and the score board going up in flames.
  24. Anyone see the trend here? This may be the year vidor gets over the hump and never looks back.
  25. And look at Texas City....a record of 1-2 and their still in the top of the region.
