Proud Raider Fan here. Most of the guys are young this year, had a few key injuries that were hard to replace and hopefully will be back next year with some varsity  experience, hopefully some more size and better depth. I will never forget my roots and where I come from, we will be back!

My outlook says it won't be good. But I will say this....if the Raiders don't make the playoff, there will be at least 1 maybe 2 teams going that won't last long....catch my drift.  The better team sometimes doesn't always win. But it is what it is.

I'm sorry is this the Central VS PNG thread? I must be lost....there really shouldn't be much talk on this topic because Lumberton will be over matched come friday night. But on another note, just go ahead and start a Central VS Png thread since that is the game that is the talk of the town as of now.

The lost to Ozen brought up a weakness in the Raider's defense that we haven't seen since we played Barbers Hill, our pass defense stinks! We simply can't stop it. Truth is as well balanced as PNG is playing right now we can't hold a match to them what-so-ever in comparison. All we can hope for is to keep the score close and the penalties/mistakes down to even have a chance for a victory. Good Luck to both teams!

I cant imagine Lumberton would be dropping with the growth that community is experiencing. Lumberton has always been at the bottom of 4A when it comes to student enrollment, barely making it in. If the UIL keeps increasing the cutoff numbers then sooner or later we aren't going to make it. Plus the growth doesn't necessarily mean we have more kids coming to our school.

I think Lumberton might be close to dropping into 3a too....Do they go off the previous years enrollment or the current oncoming year?

I like the 4 team format. 2 for the big/2 for the small. Plus I believe there are some districts in east and north texas that have alot of teams in their district which sends alot of teams home packing for the offseason. I have no problem with it tho, I kinda see it as a way to improve the TEAMS skills by playing new tougher competition teams, more experience by more play time for the younger kids will be back the following year, better experience for the coach's as well. Just my .02.

I spoke with some of the captains of the L-Train and they are extremely mad about last week's game and plan on handling business from here on out. It's about to get ugly for rest of their opponents...mark my words! Starting this friday with Ozen. Goodluck to both teams!
