  1. Yogi Berra’s famous quotes: ‘Baseball is 90 per cent mental. The other half is physical"
  2. For years I refused to join the smart phone revolution. I would be the only person at work or at dinner not starring at a screen. I had my beloved flip phone until summer of 2018. I never participated in any form of social media. I would only read this site for info on my favorite high school sports team and their upcoming opponents. Now it has been over a year since I made the switch. And yes I can take the first step and admit I am addicted. As I was completing this post, I was accused of not paying attention. This is still the only site I access. No fakebook, or tweeter. I dont trust any major social media outlet. You wont find WOSdrummer anywhere but here. I'll be here all week ladies and gentlemen. And dont forget to tip the waitress.
  3. Correct. Although, evil has been projected into our society as anything different that one does not understand. Another sign of divide and conquer.
  4. Why the bullpen? Seems like they jump on him 1st inning.
  5. One year after a hurricane, I think they had to start district late and play a game every 5 or 6 days to get back on track for playoffs. Do you remember when that was?
  6. Major drainage overhauls are needed thru out the county. Retention ponds, levee systems, you name it. It's a problem that going to continue. They trimmed over growth and did so dredging recently to Adams bayou close to park and Shangri La. It's my belief that this saved countless people north of there, the same devastation as they recieved from Harvey.
  7. I wouldnt bet against either team. It's a toss up. Good luck Newton
  8. As a reminder... bc and Cleveland put up 7 on Diboll. Lets go jasper.
  9. Really missing hunt I see
  10. No team is running from competition. Or scared to play in the rain. It's not the field conditions that dictated the cancellation of the GAME. Destiny/fate was put into place way before this was ever a storm. After walking through flood waters tonight to rescue my 70+ year old parents. This all seems so irrelevant. Hug your children. Count your blessings. Enjoy the moments. Live on to fight another day. Tomorrow has to be a better day.
  11. Football has now become secondary. No need to play a game when lives are in danger. Send prayers... it's not over with yet.
  12. WEEK4 1. West Orange-Stark 2. Little Cypress-Mauriceville 3. Huffman Hargrave 4. Splendora 5. Tarkington 6. Hamshire-Fannett 7. Jasper 8. Lumberton 9. Diboll 10. Corrigan-Camden 11. Mexia 12. Baytown Christian 23. McDade 24. Sheldon C.E. King 25. Hemphill
  13. 3 days of rain expected to saturate most fields. Bosto said last night everything should clear out by game time Friday. But only a weather man can be wrong half the time and keep a job.
  14. That was my point with an earlier post. (I'll be your booger bear.) Maybe backups getting prepared for riding the bench come playoff time. Jasper by a landslide/avalanche.
  15. Hard to consider gilmer local. But yes, PG will be back for a 3rd straight year. Question is... can a "local" team make it and knock em off?
  16. Gotcha. Please post it if they get it together later in the year. I've been trying to catch a battle of the bands. My drum bros at WOS wrecked it in the playoffs last year.
  17. The Astros are in 1st place in the American League West with a 98–53 record. The Yankees and Astros have identical records, but Houston would get the No. 1 seed and home-field advantage throughout the playoffs because they won the season series 4–3.
  18. Just in case anyone missed it. WOS had 2 players on the same field Sunday. Pic is about halfway down. [Hidden Content] BALTIMORE, MARYLAND - SEPTEMBER 15: Safety Deionte Thompson #35 and strong safety Budda Baker #32 of the Arizona Cardinals pose for a photo with free safety Earl Thomas #29 and defensive back DeShon Elliott #32 of the Baltimore Ravens after the Baltimore Ravens 23-17 win over the Arizona Cardinals at M&T Bank Stadium on September 15, 2019 in Baltimore, Maryland.
  19. Bc guy called him a bowling ball. There's always 1 over there that can fly.
  20. Man your quick. Got me again
  21. Too bad, jasper prefers an easy schedule.
  22. Belleville just made #10 at dctf
  23. I agree. Home game, larger school? I'm still not sure.
