DCTF/AP High School Fotball Rankings
WOSdrummer99 replied to WOSgrad's topic in High School Football
Just noticed Carthage was left off the list? -
Again an abundance of caution. But why not move the game to next friday? Tuesdays need love too I guess.

Wow that's surprising. Lamarque was in the 4-6" range and Huffman was 3-5" [Hidden Content]

Nederland @ Huntsville/ GAME HAS BEEN CANCELED
WOSdrummer99 replied to chorizo's topic in High School Football
Hence the abundance of caution. I get it. It's not a district game. Regroup next week. Praying for those infected to make a full recovery. -
Stand outside the fence. Don't miss one second. They'd have to arrest me to get me to leave. Imagine if reggie's parents weren't at that game 10 years ago. I pray that it's not, but it could be the last game of the season.

Gonna be a long wait for pickem results now. Is this due to beta or Covid?

Nederland @ Huntsville/ GAME HAS BEEN CANCELED

"Due to the number of positive..." How many is it? Are they shutting down school or just football? So many questions, so little time. -
@biggirl imagine that. Your party leaders pledged to an inanimate object. Any thoughts about protesting against them? Or will you blindly support old man biden for the harris administration?
-
Autocorrect gotcha. I hope you meant "masquerade"?
-
Good question. I haven't had any interaction with them. So I'm not sure what exactly we would agree on. But I'd love to sit down and have a drink with one. Open invitation, any takers? Its gonna be hard with the bars all still closed.
-
Inanimate object? That's one way to put it. Maybe because of what it represents, and everyone that has died to protect it. Would you rather pledge allegiance to a person or a statue?
-
What would he have to say about the PNG Football Team? Now that he's been educated at university.
-
Good story. I tell my friends and coworkers all the time. We may not agree on politics or religion. But we are still brothers and can always find common ground. For instance, Aggies... you know what I mean.

Since we're completely off the original topic. I heard the weather channel say that over the last 10 years, forward progress after landfall has been reduced by 16%. Hmmm. I wonder why. [Hidden Content] From the article from 2011... The Bill Gates Strategy According to a 2009 article from USA Today, five patents put forward by Microsoft founder Bill Gates and colleagues included initiatives “not limited to atmospheric management, weather management, hurricane suppression, hurricane prevention, hurricane intensity modulation, hurricane deflection” to manage storms.”

I had 3, but could only get to 1. Had to go thru everything to find the other 2. Also the time of the post has vanished. And some of the font colors are hard to read. Like when quoting, black text on dark grey background. Maybe it's just me and my eyes. But I feel bad for those old timers and their rose colored glasses.

It's like the calm before the Beta.

Helpful hint: the 3 dots up by the member name is where the edit button is now.

Elysian Fields gets a warning from UIL

I did my part and wore a mask last week. And so did everyone else that was in attendance. Be careful, the eyes of texas are upon you. Even you guys up there in the press box should be following the saftey guidelines, right? -
This game is in silsbee?

Proxima Centauri is the closest star located 4.244 light-years away from the Sun. It is too faint to be seen with the naked eye. Sirius is the brightest star in the night sky. It is twice as far away, about 8.6 light-years away. Betelgeuse is the largest start we can see from earth. It's 10-20x the Sun and about 700 light-years away. Many people have seen it and not known. It is the top left shoulder of Orion, straight away from the three stars that form his belt.

Sounds like a state issue to me, not county.

Excellent video you found @baddog. The vastness of space is amazing. There's no way we can possible imagine the distances of the universe. Or know if there are others. Here are two of my favorites... First, time is just as hard to imagine as space is. This shows time since the big bang as compared to a calendar year. Humanity has only been around for the last 10 seconds. Now, for that last 10 seconds of humanity and inspiration to motivate us to keep moving forward for the next seconds.

Northern teams also benefit from not battling hurricanes. Gilmer has had some impressive wins so far this season. Looks like avg over 450 ypg and 51+ ppg. Defense looks suspect, giving up a lot. But if the offense can outscore it might not matter. Good luck this week, and the rest of the season. Last district game against PG as well. I hope we can meet up in late December, with a different outcome this time of course. And thanks again for the link to the live stream.

They should be charging double to make up for only half of the tickets being available. Supply and demand. Maybe they don't teach that in schools anymore?
-
Nice of them to charge extra when it's the only option they make available. Reminds me of a "non refundable deposit", an old classic.
