sbparent got a reaction from no-look in SILSBEE
Just looked over the bracket for region 3 and it looks like a Silsbee - Yates regional final again. Silsbee's only tough game might be against a 29-5 Huffman team. Other than that I don't see a challenge for them until the regional final opponent.
Yates has to go through HJ and would then probably play Palestine in a regional semi final. Heard Palestine was pretty good but I doubt they are Yates good.

sbparent got a reaction from Who That in #1 4A Silsbee at #5 4A Center Tuesday
Center's visitor's section might hold 100 folks and that will have to include the freshman and JV teams if they are playing as well. Poor excuse for a fairly new facility.

Every player for Big Sandy contributes and works as a team. Also #4 really stood out tonight

I actually saw a little of the their game last night. Only suited up 7 players. Should be an easy win for BS.

sbparent got a reaction from BADSANTA in THSCA Regional rankings, Sept. 14
Splendora gets beat 56-0 and goes from NR to #9. Does someone really vote on this stuff or do they just pull numbers out of a hat.

sbparent got a reaction from Gasilla in West Orange-Stark 64 Houston Scarborough 0/Final
Would like to give a thumbs up to the WOS players and coaches. This game could have gotten real ugly. I saw the Huntington Scarborough game and like someone said it was 56-0 at the half. If they can do that against them, it is amazing that WOS "only" scored 64.
So again, hats off to WOS folks for winning the right way.
And on a side note, at least UIL didn't get much additional revenue from the Scarborough fans (like they need it). I wonder if UIL will fine a school for not selling enough tickets so they can make their $6.0 million budget. Or maybe next year they will make the schools with low ticket sales have play-in games to help with their revenue shortfall.

I would think that the Baytown coach would have had to agree to cancel the game. I doubt the AS coach just called and said don't come.

Who exactly do you want Scarborough to play? Last I checked, Little Sister's of the Poor was a college team. Who else in the state would have you liked for them to play?
I am sure those kids were excited to play a team that they thought they might have a chance to win against. And as for their kids; those boys played hard on every down. They came out excited at the start of the second half and hit hard until the final whistle.
