2. 3A is not big enough to have 4 teams from each district. There are already several districts with just 5 teams. I would be a little more inclined to be in support if there were a minimum of 8 teams in each district.

 4. I see the score being similar to the Carthage/Center game. I hope Jasper proves me wrong. The offense is still not clicking on all cylinders. Yes, I know we've had some high scoring games. But against good teams, the offensive woes really show.
 5. They've had a pretty weak schedule. But, that's not to say the team is weak. We shall see Friday.

 10. Another interesting thing to watch this Friday...[Hidden Content]
 11.
3-0,  Jasper is obviously a very good team. I just hope you Jasper fans show up for the game and dont "HIGH-TAIL" it  in the 3rd quarter like PNG did to their team. I expect to see only "PARENTS" on the Jasper side. I hope you people will prove me wrong and show up and enjoy a very good game and enjoy your "SAD" 75 mile trip back to Jasper. (thats 150 miles round trip)
The back way through Buna is about 30 miles less round trip.  ;)
 12.
Region 3 is gonna be very tough.  I think Carthage is back in the region as well.  Whoever survives out of the Region should win the title unless they have a big letdown in the semi finals or finals.  One thing for sure they will be battle tested.
Carthage will be D1.
 13. I'm proud of the strides Jasper has made. We still have some polishing to do before we are ready to compete with the upper eschelon. But, we are on our way. If we can possibly pull out the upset, it'll be by less than a touchdown. Realistically, I think WO-S will wear us down by the 4th quarter, which is when they'll pull away and win by 2 TD's.
 14.
Good job Jasper on the win...But WOS will take the wind out of your sails.......bet on it..... ;) ;D
That's a discussion for another thread. Don't try to change the topic of this one. We still beat Kirbyville.

When our key players come back should be interesting come district.
Turnovers weren't Kirbyville's only problem. Jasper scored very quickly a bunch of times.
Yep, good win. Next week the dawgs gonna lose though.
Bless his heart. He just can't help himself.
 16. I picked CS to win. I don't think LM is as good as advertised. I think Navasota is good. However, I think CS is one of those teams that exponentially gets better later in the season - a hallmark of great coaching. If Navasota and CS were to play each other later in the season, my money would be on CS.
 17.
Thanks, but my comp will not accept the KJAS...do not know why...thanks anyway.I'll check the threads!
Try turning off your firewall.
 18.

Mixed-Up Priorities (p. 12) in the latest Sports Illustrated reads: You chose the wrong Sign of the Apocalypse (Scoreboard) last week. At a time when schools across the contry are struggling, Carthage (Texas) High's new $750, 000 JumboTron seems far more outrageous than an Oklahoma City school district's rules barring non-Oklahoma sports teams' apparel. Richard Temkin, Farmington Hills, Mich. Are their priorities mixed up?
Carthage is a wealthy school district that pays a ton into "Robin Hood". If they don't spend it, it will be sent to the state. The school put this up on a bond that was broken into 3 different proposals. This one, an indoor practice facility and about $10 mil in school repairs/upgrades. They all passed with this one being the lowest with an approval of about 68%. Just built a state of the art $17 mil elementary school.  With the money brought in they are able to pay them off early. Don't have to like it, but the tax payers did approve it by a fairly large margin.
What is the major tax base?
 19.
The cats did not look bad. Jasper has a pretty lethal qb-wr combo though. Cats made it inside the 10 a few times and came up short. Congrats to the bulldogs. Good game for both teams but y'all get the W.
Thanks for the updates kville68.
 20. So far JASPER has beaten the teams we are supposed to. We haven't had a real challenge yet, though. The verdict is still out. But, I am cautiously optimistic. WO-S and Carthage (although the latter has somewhat struggled out the gate) will be the measuring sticks.

 23. I wish this game were being played later in the season when CS is in top form. But this early in the season, I have to go with Navasota.  :(
